Huggs PAP - my mum is similar - when I lose weight its always too fast or too much, my hair is never the right colour/length and when going down memory lane she only seems to have negative memories. Its hard but its her issue not yours. People love you for who you are and you can't let your Mum's insecurities bring you down. Have another hug :grouphug:

He says he doesnt want people we dont know in the house cleaning:confused:

I know, its a bit of an ongoing battle in the house about the allocation of chores but I have always worked less hours than him so this has been his arguement for years.

To be honest I think he will be against the idea if it changes his routine (goodness this is awful he is a kind man but just sort of stuck with what we have always done IYSWIM)

Basically he doesnt respond well to change:rotfl:

Mine doesn't like the cleaners in but its tough.

He also once famously said to me I could as many hours as I liked as long as his tea was on the table. He may have thought he was joking but its true.......

He can work 24 hours a day and we have to accept it, if I do it I am causing problems....I just get on with it now.....

Why does mothers have to be so dam spitefull or is that just my Mum  Mum didnt like the idea of me staying over in Weymouth (yet I did at Brum only 2 (ish) years ago) so I caved and am now travelling on the day. I have been offered a car (have a full licence but havent driven since test day nearly 1yr and 6month ago) and she doesnt want me to buy the said car  Ok it will mean £50 insurance and savings for mot etc every month which I can do at a push, but why cant she support me even if it is the wrong choice  No when my lil bro brought a car she was all for it (hasnt passed his test) and when my sister rolls up in a new car every 6months she is their patting her back... !!!!!! cant she just be happy for me ~ for once. Oh and dont mention the dreaded CD around her now!!!

Right back to lurking because I am obviously ill again!!!!

I think all mums manage to do it without realising half the time, I know my mum's fantastic at it. I'm going to turn 36 next week and still she manages to make me feel about 6.

I don't know your circumstances but if you feel that she thinks that badly of you now (which I doubt she does) then what damage will it do to stick to your guns and do what you want? It might make her realise that you are an adult and have a life of your own.

I've decided you can't win and now just get on with it but I must admit it took me ages My name on here isn't just couse I have to start things again, but because I'm always put in the wrong too.

(((((Hugs))))) to you hon, can't you just do it anyway, tell her how much it means to you and come stay here

PAP - you are an adult now! At some point mums have to let go and you must very politely tell your mum that she should let you make your own mistakes.

You will be in good co in weymouth so stay if you want to. You spent good money learning to drive, why waste that golden opportunity Learning to drive and driving is the best thing i ever did. Gives you so much freedom.....do it!

PAP - be glad you have a mother and live with it!

parents are "sent to test us" like kids are also sent to test us.

dont fret about stuff - do what YOU think is right and she'll come to terms and accept it probably after making you feel bad and be all huffy for a while, but she is your mam, at the end of the day, its nighttime (and she loves you!)

parents are always there to catch you if you fall - just dont flippin murder someone or get sent to prison cos then they be mad (for real)
