    Hi everyone,

Bookie I think you should apply. I know what you mean about conflicting beliefs, but on a personal level you can bring in your own beliefs to everything without anyone ever knowing. A registry office wedding isn't done in god's house for example, but that doesn't mean that you can't say a prayer for the couple and the wedding before the service, in your own quiet time. Remember that lots of couples would like a church wedding but can't have one because of previous divorce. The guy who married us is very involved with the local church and some of my guests asked him to have a quick chat with the big man upstairs with them, on our behalf, which he was very happy to do.

I think you'd make a lovely registrar. I don't know why but I also think you would make a fabulous magistrate. I see you as the 'pilar of the community' type, with a good honest sensible head. So, a job like that would be great for you.
