Waiting around semi-nervously to find out if OHs car is feeling any better when he gets home from work. I hate things like this I can do nothing over, I've only seen him twice in three weeks!
Challenging myself to get up the the next 10,000 on Toluna (only 18 polls to do) and then get as many extra points as I can on Bingoport.
Still have my daily clicks to do too, eep!0 -
Hi Cinny, I guess from your quietness today that OH got his car sorted? Hope so. If it's a fairly new car it should just need a good run like Birdie said. I had to replace my car battery in December as it was having trouble on cold mornings, but it was the manufacturer's battery and had been in there for 13 years and about 100,000 miles!
Well done for giving up clothes Cinny and Birdie AND chocolate Cinny! I'm giving up books (because I'm always buying them in charity shops faster than I can read them), magazines (because they're full of rubbish anyway, though I did quickly buy Marie Claire on Friday night for the free conditioner), Pringles (because I eat the whole lot in one go and it's not conducive to my weight loss challenge, which by the way is going badly after this weekend!) and toiletries.

Sadly not Tete! It still isn't running, managed to get a lift to OHs house from the Renault King (aka my brother) and even he was confuddled by it. The garage people are coming out tomorrow morning for it, so fingers crossed. Really hoping it's something over nothing.
Good luck with your 100 days too Tete! I gave up magazines the first time I did the challenge and it wasn't too hard - plus I started getting peoples old magazine (Like heat or Look) so I didn't go without!
Had a really foody day at OHs so I'm not looking forward doing my boots diets tonight! Going to really try with the diet this week at work (not like I can sneak out for a kitkat!) got lots of fruit at the ready. Still lost 1 pound this week though. Don't know how I did it! Been eating so much chocolate.0 -
You've been doing lots of exercise too though, well done on the loss! Oh no, shame about the car - I know it's second hand but is is under some sort of warranty with the garage?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I've never done the 100 days challenge, but Tete just sparked something in me that says I probably should try to give up books. Another part of me just wants to enjoy my spends money however I want, since if I don't buy books I'll just buy clothes or meals out instead!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I very very rarely pay full price for new books, but there's been a few occasions this year where I've gone charity shopping and come home with £6-8 worth of new books, so I now have a huge backlog waiting to be read. So it's not s much that I 'waste' a lot of money in that area, but I could do with not bringing any more into the house for a while!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I do know the feeling. I'm an Amazon book shopper, the used ones for a penny. When does the challenge start? I really don't want to, but I think I should!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It started on Saturday so today's Day 3. End date I think is 8th November. I guess every time you see a book you want you could put it on a list for Christmas? I must have at least 50 books on my shelves that I haven't read, I could probably do the 1000 Day challenge for books!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Well I haven't bought any in the last 3 days. Urgh, going to regret this but I'm going to do it. If Cinny and Birdie can give up clothes, I must be able to do this!?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
