When the Bloke first started doing our garden a year ago, he took up the post for the washing line. No matter, we had a washer-dryer. Which broke at Christmas. So since then I've been drying clothes inside or, on nice days, on an airer on the deck. It takes bloody ages and is awful for doing anything big, like sheets, or heavy,l ike jeans.
But today I actually got him to buy a new washing line and hook it up to the shed for me - and I even worked out there was enough to go back on itself in a V-shape so I now have double the length! And it's a fantastic drying day. On my third load today as it's all drying so quickly, in an attempt to get rid of the backlog of guest bedding etc which usually sits around until new guests are imminent because I can't face drying it all.
Thank heavens for OS!0 -

Afternoon All!
Happy Birthday Moggins!!
Thank you all for your words of support for Boyf on his first day at work (I was fussing over him this morning, made sure he had clothes etc, I felt like a proud mommy on her sons first day of school), he isnt home yet and ive not long got back, so im presuming thats good news as they obviously didnt tell him to go away as soon as he turned up! He should finish at 4pm, so he is due back any minute I think.
W**k was particularly boring today, not busy, but about 3 people darted through the door as I was on my way to lock it (bl**dy B******s  Why o why do people think its acceptable to walk in with 3 seconds to go when its already past closing time and im on my way to lock the door - then ask to sit down and open a bl**dy account??? AAARRRGGHHH) which didnt please me as I didnt get to leave until 3.22pm. Traffic was manic too - what should have been a 10 min drive was half an hour. Oh well, at least im home now!
On that note, im off to find my fabric and cushions so i can start sewing, I might wash the dishes first though, and then plonk my a$$ down and relax for the next 2 days and 7 hours.
Have a great afternoon all!

That reminds me of when I used to work for a building society (in a past life - pre baby no 1, who now has 2 babies of her own!) I think probably the worst of Saturday mornings had to be the pigs. Someone in head office had the bright idea that it would be a good idea to give all children who opened accounts a lovely piggy bank. What a nice idea - except for one thing... they didn't give them a key to go with it! So, on the one day they could come in ie Saturday, all the kiddies would turn up with nice full piggies which we had to open, then count all the money (of course it wasn't nicely bagged up!) to pay it into the account. Can you imagine our glee if we spied a family of happy children heading our way 5 minutes before closing time on Saturday morning?!!0 -
Have just got back from a lovely afteroon with DD.
DS stayed with DH and DD and I went to Wimpole Hall and looked around the house.
DD did a quiz book which ment that we had to look around all of the rooms.
Hope you all had as much of a good afternoon as i did:p0
