Did you pay your full bill and leave a tip...?

I hate it when there's a problem with one person's meal as everyone else has eaten and you watched and then you have to eat yours by yourself when it arrives for second time as everyone else is finished..

Summer it was only Sunday but will be getting in touch. I see from the chain staff members posts that there is less emphasis on quality there now. Very sad as we have and many lovely meals there.

Nobody said anything and to be fair we didnt really mention the small portions to flatmates mum as it was for Fathers Day and as he was sitting next to her, didnt want to seem ungrateful or ruin his day.The steak and hot chocolate were both for a child and Tbh this child does whine a lot anyway. But justly so in this case esp as he is a bit of a picky eater.

I dont know bout the bill and tip as like I said it was all paid for by flatmates mum. I don't believe in tips personally unless something was really exceptional.TBH I think you pay quite a lot for the food way over and above any cost. ie things like Sandwiches costing £6 when you can get a loaf and some filling for a LOT less.

I imagine alot of people wouldn't say anything if they're out for a special occassion..

This is going back some time now, I did get a response from the company which I was happy with. They said I could go to another Vintage Inn restuarant if I didn't want to go back to Malt Shovel and I took them up on this offer as the manager that called me was so nice and very disappointed with the service I had recieved and said they would like me to go back to one of their other restautants.

I went to one called Thames Court and it was like a different place entirely.

The food was lovely, the service amazing and the atmoshpere in there restaurant lovely and cosy. We are returning there soon as it was so good.
