Recently went to a gaming convention - over 1000 people went, and i'll be damned if I saw more than 40 females there XD
Haha yeah, I went to a midnight games launch before and I think there was me and another lass in the whole queue, and a lot of men! It makes me laugh when people online start being amazed when they find out you're a girl, there's 11 MILLION people playing this, did it really never occur to you that there might be one or two lasses mixed in there somewhere? :rotfl:
Back on topic, I used to have an old woman come into my store regularly, she would always complain that we didn't have the items she wanted. Fair enough, but every single time she'd go off on a big rant, saying she was never going to shop here again and it was a disgrace and Tesco was miles better, but then she'd come back at least once a week with a trolley full of stuff and start whining again!D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -
I guess some people are just plain rude.No matter what you do,they will never be pleased.Best to just ignore them and get on with your job.Dwelling on it upsets you even more.0

Told you people were rude.
Picking holes in other people's grammer is very rude.0 -

Yes I agree some people are naturally rude, grumpy and negative.
But I always think that a bit of empathy goes a long way too. When someone walks into your shop, classroom, workplace you have no idea what might have just happened to them. If you remember that film 'Falling Down' with Michael Douglas where the events that happen to him are not that serious but when they all stack up they push him over the edge!
They might be in a hurry through no fault of their own. I'm usually quite patient at checkouts but if you happpen to be parked in a half hour free space (with very efficient parking attendants monitoring it) and someone is chatting to their friend who is making a staff purchase and the till person deliberately taking a long time so they can finish their conversation then they can expect me to make a comment about it!
If I have a choice at a checkout I will always go for an older till person as I find they often have a more reasonable idea of how to deal with customers properly.
You can tell that most of the people on here whining about awful customers are younger people.
Just my 2p.0 -

I take it your post is meant to be ironic.
Edited to add.
I posted a reply to post #219 below but I have since deleted it as the thread is going off topic with the spelling issues and I don't wish to contribute to that any longer. Cheers. Takoda.0 -

I was in IKEA the other week, and caught a man mid-speech to a young shop assistant. He was being really loud and causing a fuss, and part of his rant included:
"...and you FORCED me to buy the inferior sofa..."
Nobody in IKEA would force you to buy a sofa, and the girl who was being shouted at couldn't get a word in, and looked really stressed and upset. He was being ridiculous trying to make a scene.Cake please...0
