Morning all. Hope you got back ok VICTORY. Well dog ate bones yesterday (as in every last crumb) so I came down to poo and sick to clean up, nice! Always a great start to the morning. Obviously didn't want breakfast straight after that so am now gonna go get some cereal. Probably eggs for lunch and cous cous for dinner as will do OH something not very healthy from the freezer. My head has been all over the place this week and I havent been able to concentrate on anything, it still is like that but I really need to crack on with some work as I have fallen behind and don't have the time to let that happen. Argh life is never simple. Have a good one all.0

=Missy™;23807231]Go for it!!! Have to say those settings sound more interesting than the ones when I go to the gym (PAYG cos I don't go often). We have the somewhat less inspiring "hills", "random", "fat burn"... & maybe 1 or 2 others!
Keep pressing hill till they come up! around the world comes up first but its harder than kilamanjaro. I did my 20 mins on level 7 today though whoop!
I had an interview on Friday at work for a different departent and I wore a brand new suit in a smaller size from a shop I've never been able to buy from before :T I was mightily motivated by that!!Comp wins 2014: £30 Gu Pud Vouchers0 -
Kimonokawaii - yep the smaller size always does it for me too. As previously said, tried on size 14 jeans in tesco that were too big for me, thought they were just big made, then tried on a pair in primark, same result
Was well happy, and totally into it again :rotfl:
dmv - ewwwwwwwwww is all i can say, hope u weren't out on the sauce last night, my cat seems to wait until i have a hangover before struggling to get a hairball up. She's pretty neat tho, will try and hit a newspaper or magazine if there's one on the floor. My work bag is a favourite place of hers to puke on. Been washed so many times, i think i'm the only postie with a pink bag :rotfl:
Finally bought myself a new set of scales, now i see where all u guys get ure part lbs from.
Now am gonna try n encourage my DD to lose some weight. She's such a pretty girl, but since her xbf committed suicide, she's put on a lot of weight, comfort eating. Have tried not to nag her, but I think I'm gonna need to. She doesn't live at home any more, so can't do too much. Just know she will be happier in herself if she loses some weight and starts to live life again.
Am I being the pushy mother or am I right to not let her go too far down that road? It's a very difficult situation, and certainly don't want to make matters worse. Thoughts plz ladies.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
MAZZA - It's difficult to encourage someone to lose weight as its easy to upset them and we all know you have to want to do it for yourself. I would be delicate and maybe use yourself as an example saying how much more confident etc you feel now, and as you say weight gain is a slippery slope so the quicker she can get a hold of it the easier it will be to get to healthy weight and feel good again.
I'm in a weird place with food at the minute as get hungry but there's nothing I want to eat so I have a few mouthfulls think I'm not bothered about it and so either stop or plough on not interested in it. My TOTM though and not exactly into food when in pain. Feel more perky today though so and food didnt go to plan - have had a bowl of cereal and will have yummy smoked salmon pasta for dinner. Have done a little work and will do more tonight so getting back into it.0 -
Difficult one Mazza. I'm not sure I would have responded very well to someone 'suggesting' I lost weight before I was ready to do it myself... I would worry if someone in my close family was on the road to becoming dangerously obese though, just as I would if they were smoking or drinking too much or whatever.
I think I would find it easier to broach the subject if I hadn't already lost the weight myself - then I could maybe say something like "shall we try to lose a few pounds together?" I dunno. It's difficult as you say0 -
Mazza, I would say that your daughters heart needs to be in it, the desicion to lose weight needs to come from her. I remember as a teen my parents trying to get me to lose weight but all that meant was that I started to eat & binge in secret. Sorry not being much help there xxx:grouphug:
I am a happy bunny today, someone bought some new size 16 jeans, NOT ME THOUGH AS I BOUGHT MY FIRST EVER SIZE 14'S!!!!!:smileyhea:dance:Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -

Am most definitely in a difficult place with my DD, she aint ready, have broached the subject tonight, but it was a no go area, just horrible to see her like that if u know wot i mean. It's so much easier to go on than take off as we all know, especially if u get into the habit of comfort eating. But anyhoo, will give her more time b4 i broach the subject again . Think the loss of her xbf has a lot to do with it, I say x in the loosest sense of the word, they spent the weekend together, he was dead on the wednesday, been on n off since school. Don't know how I would cope with that at my age, never mind at 18 yrs old. She has coped remarkably btw, and am very proud of how she's dealt with it apart from the comoft eating, nm I'm sure she'll reach the place she needs to be eventually.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Mazza, it must be really hard for her but also for you watching your dd struggle x
Been for a run this morning before brekkie, was lovely and very warm. I love getting the exercise out of the way first thing, makes the days last longer for me I think xxxFollowing :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
Weight loss slowing down again this week, no exercise as i've been a lazy cow and on holiday :j
but still a 1 lb loss for me :j4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Mazza at least it's still coming off.
And for me it a 0.25lb loss. Though it may be slight loss of muscle that gave that result as I've been a bit of a pig with food, or then again maybe I'm just getting the balance of food intake right. No weigh in next week as I'm away from home.0
