Hannah, don't worry about recovering the calories. A 355cal over might seem like a lot but with eating 1500cal I'd assume that you already have a large calorie deficit particularly with the exercise.
The 355cal won't mean too much when weigh in arrives. Just do what you normally do!

I found a way of not snacking mid morning (well almost). I decided this week to try to have breakfast as late as possible. I/e not having it when I get up at 7.15am and then getting ready for work.
I now get up and get ready before eating my porridge at 8.15am. That hour makes a difference.
Some mornings I just need a snack though so have a small pear or something similar. Or even plain ryvita with a thin smothering of tescos healthy living cream cheese. Delicious.

All the tips and encouragement in here really make a difference so thanks guys and let's keep it up.

I do that, if the diabetes allows it I aim to have breakfast at 9am, busy before with the kids getting ready for school etc so not focused on food, when that is done I like to sit with a drink and the breakfast and eat it at leisure, it really does cover me all morning until lunch if it is that time so no need to snack the most I would have anyway is an apple other than that lunch times comes and I am not starving etc so it works out well for the rest of the day:D

It's sad that it's taken a really difficult situation to make your mum realise she's a human being with needs like the rest of us, but maybe that's the silver lining in the cloud. Good luck with organising the flight and your OH. XX

:D You'll probably 'make it up' without really realising it anyway.
Just don't think of it as a sin to go over calories.
You probably need it to make the net calories anyway.
Not eating enough is just as dangerous/bad as eating too much.

I'm glad you mum has asked Victory - hope you get out there soon. Be aware that she might make you pay big time for her moment of weakness by being extra horrible while you are there. But you are a big hearted woman to go, given the past and we'll be here for you when you get back.

Wish I could find the zone bails - it's like the end of the rainbow here - keeps bl**dy disappearing everytime I think I've found it. I so need to lose half a stone: clothes uncomfy tight. I know 'how' to, but have the will power of a pig next to a slops bowl at the mo:D.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Well, I'm definitely at the rainbow with you at the mo BB - great analogy btw!:T - as I've logged on specifically not to go round the shop and eat stuff (obviously I'd buy it first :rotfl:). Mine is a completely emotional response to a big disappointment this morning about work - I just really really really want someone to give me a job :(

A job, that would be lovely, beginning to forget what it is like and it is hard financially that is for sure, it is all about the money in this house or lack of it and with a job you get so much more than that,a reason, purpose, friendships, loads more than just money:D
