Oh my goodness! Its taken me from 11am this morning until half 5 tonight to clean my house after the Luau/BBQ yest! Due to the grim weather we changed it from the pub beer garden to my flat. NEVER AGAIN! :rotfl::rotfl:

I had a lovely day & was SO pleased to have all my friends together, having a laugh & enjoying themselves! But boy was it hard work! lol I cooked the BBQ food in the oven and someone tipped hot fat down my sink............ so today my washing machine emptied water into the sink as it couldn't get down the drain, soaking the floor & worktops, then all the dirty water went back into the machine! TWICE!!! cos i didn't realise what had happened & pressed the 'empty machine' button, and watched all of the above happening!
The guy downstairs is a plumber, so I went downstairs to borrow a plunger (sounds like a !!!!!! movie script! 'Can you help me? My drains need plunged!' :rotfl:) but he didn't have one in his van. Then his dad, who owns the plumbing company turned up & he didn't have one in his van either!! I always thought that was an important bit of being a plumber? Anyhoo, I finally sorted it out with the help of a soft rubber football (i'm a genius! lol) so no real harm done!

Got some lovely cards & a few bottles of vino/vodka (what are they trying to say?!) but the best bit about it for me was just being with all my friends for the day! Oh, and when the police turned up at quarter to 8 (!) saying we were singing too loud! lol For a wee minute I thought they were a special treat for me.....................;) xx

LOL SL - hope you didn't try and do anything inappropriate with the policeman:rotfl:. Glad you had such a good day though.

I'm feeling loads better thanks all. Had a lovely day out: we took a picnic to a local village and watched cricket all afternoon. Never watched a match before so OH was explaining all the rules etc. Just nice chill out time together.
Not sure where things are weight wise as I have deliberately not weighed myself til tummy back to normal. Overall, I am generally going up and down the same few lbs so maintaining very well... just wish it was at 1/2 stone lighter:D. I know what I need to do to get there but can't seem to sustain the effort, but at least my weight is not going up and up.

Welcome texmax - do you feel you have got to the bottom of the emtional reasons behind the eating so you can begin to address that or is it still ongoing? I'm not a veggie I'm afriad so can't help much, but I'm sure there must be help somewhere on the forums. Try post one of this thread - I think there are links to recipes.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

BB The police came into the pub one night and I'd had a few shandies........ and tried to slip my hand into his handcuffs - that were attached to his belt!!! :rotfl:

SL - I lead far too quiet a life clearly:D

SL - next time you have a party, I'm coming! It sounds like you had a fab time. Lol at the policemen - glad you didn't try to have a feel of his truncheon! ha ha

Victory - ah mate, sounds like the last thing you needed was lambasting. What you need at a time like this is to know that you're being heard, not judged. No one else knows your relationship, how it works, and how it makes you feel but you. My marriage looked perfect from the outside. I had a big house, brand new mercedes on the drive, husband had a sports car, comfortable lifestyle, kids wanted for nothing, etc. What everyone else didn't know was how unhappy I was, and how it was becoming harder and harder for me to keep everything together, as there were lots of hidden issues going on. My in-laws shunned me, my own family seemed to be very absent, and most of my long-term friends seemed to back away, unable to comprehend a life without us as a couple. You really know what stuff you're made of at times like that. I cannot imagine you have made this decision on a whim, or are 'crying wolf', so your sister really should have been more understanding. It isn't all about bricks & mortar y'know. I lost a 6 bed house, and ended up in a 3 bed end of terrace council house, but I tell you what, I was much happier, and so were my children in the end. It doesn't have to be hell, or a nightmare just because you change your location or address.

Anyway, back on topic! Welcome techmax, you'll find lots of help and support here, so just join in the banter so we can get to know you. I'm not veggie, but I do eat a lot of veggie based foods, such as quorn or Linda McCartney stuff. I was fully veggie years back, and the things to watch out for are fat content, and high carbs/sugars. I ate far too much cheese back then. I would imagine you could subsitute most recipes for meat with meat substitute, etc. Slimming world's green days are ideal too.

BB - glad to hear you are feeling better, and your day at the cricket match sounds like an idyllic English summer's day, doesn't it? Howzat! ha ha

so today was pretty off piste again. Day 1 tomorrow. Too many carbs, left over chinese, ah you get the idea!

I biked 2 miles, but it needed to be 20 to counter act that lot.

Good news of the day is that I sold my little car today. The first person to come have a look at it has bought it for the full asking price, and I've actually made £2000 profit 2 years after getting it - result or what? He's coming to collect it on Wednesday, and has left me a cash deposit.

Right, I promise I'm going to be a really good girl next week. How about you lot?
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Sary I'll join you in the really good girl promise (quietly ignoring the curry I've agreed to go out for on Wednesday)

sary i will b3 a good girl today and from thursday onwards - going on holdiay tuesday! we've got a b&b boked in middleham and we're off to the forbidden corner - which is possibly one of my favourite places. Was feeling v bad for having gone totally off piste over the weekend for no good reason, but today is day one. And the rot set in when i didn;t fill in the food diary. Why is it so much easier to know what you're doing wrong than to actually put it right?

victory, take care. I have no experience, no advice just that i'm thinking of you. OH finally disentangled himself from exwife a couple of years ago. He could have insisted on half the value of the house she lives in as his name is on the mortgage. He felt quite strongly that as he'd never made a payment on it he didn't have a right to it. There were no kids involved though. Look after yourselfxx
