Those parents should be ashamed but sadly most are glad to get rid of the kids for a night, pfff unbelievable.
Victory, hope you are feeling better soon and you mum's partner also.

Hope things get better for SL and Victory.
Had a lovely afternoon today. Went orienteering in a local country park with work. Never done it before, we had to find 20 markers dotted around the park in 2 hours using a map. Set off at a brisk walk and I had to jog from time to time to keep up with the long legged members of my team. I actually found the jogging easier than the walking. Had the odd run to find markers and to get back in time. Found 16 markers in 1 hr 58.5 mins (no wasted effort!) and actually won the competition which we weren't expecting. Can see why Missy enjoys trail running and would love to do some again once I've found some more appropriate footwear, my ankles ache from trotting round in my trainers. All in all a nice afternoon in the sun but I'm knackered now!0 -
I'm having a Luau/BBQ on Saturday & I think you should all come! lol My friend bought the food as my bday present, & we're havin it in the pub beer garden, so I don't need to buy drink!!
Really looking forward to it! Hope to see you all there!

Victory, I feel so sad at your news (which if i am reading it right, the impending break up of your marriage) and also of the dreadful pain and mobility probs; I so hope you can get medical help soon. That's how I was 18 months ago - couldn't even turn over in bed. Before that I had to stand half the night. So far medication has kept it at bay and much suppressed, so I can feel it but am not in loads of pain, more discomfort.
May this time soon pass xx
Vixstar - I did some orienteering xxx yrs ago and really enjoyed it. There are loads of competions around I imagine, like there were then.
Thanks for the bbq invite SL! Mightn't make it this time:D.
Raph - thanks so much for doing the chart:T:T; I really appreciated you taking it over and thanks granny to taking on too.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hello gang,
Sorry I've been AWOL, but life is like that sometimes.
Victory - I'm so sorry to hear about you're relationship and health problems. If your pain gets to such a severe level, can you not get emergency pain relief from your GP or A&E? It seems ridiculous in this day and age that anyone should have to suffer in pain. Medicines are there for particular needs, surely? I hope you're feeling better soon. Is there any reason to indicate why it has flared up so badly? is this still a knock-on effect from you not taking meds a while back? Anyway, I hope you're feeling much better soon, and as for the probs with your OH, what can I say? Been there, done that, designed the tshirt, starred in a rather scary video, but came out the other side a much stronger, wiser woman. Whatever happens, I am confident you will be just fine, because you are a strong, capable person. Here, have a dodgy:grouphug: (bagsie I'm the one in the middle!)
SL - so sorry things have all seemed to go pear shaped all at once. Life has a real habit of doing that sometimes. I liken it to spinning plates; eventually you get so many on the go that a couple of plates have to crash. You sound like a person with a strong spirit, and a terrific sense of humour too, which I suspect will more than see you through. Good luck with flat hunting. Could you get your landlord to put the word out amongst friends that you're on the look out for new lodgings?
BB - I hope you manage to get the bike sorted this week, and then you can get back on yer bike.
right, I've only just managed to get caught up on reading through the thread. Kenny, I hope the exercise has gone well. Welcome to the newbies, and ffm congratulations on completing the bike ride, great achievement!
Raph, thanks for doing the chart, and I think you deserve a bit of a rest from it. Granny - thanks for offering to take it over, and I hope the ear isn't as bad anymore. I've been there, so sympathise. I posted too late, but actually lost 2lb this week (which I gained last week), so I'll just save it over until next week.
Had a madly busy day yesterday shopping, and then all afternoon in the hairdressers. I've got a fancy new, short haircut, which seems to have met with approval from everyone I've seen so far, so pleased with that, as it's a totally different look for me. Today was boring housework, then my step-son turned up, as he'd wanted to escape his mum's house because she was smoking all the time, making him sneeze. He's a lovely lad, desperately jobseeking at the mo, and not at all workshy. Hopefully he's got the chance of some work next week. Tomorrow I am taking my friend to the hospital for her appt. re. the breast lump. Fingers crossed it's fibrous tissue, and nothing more worrying than that.
Right, that's me up to date for now. Felt odd being away for so many days, but once I get on here it's never just a quickie.
(btw no fitness class, but I did cycle 2 miles today)
