Oh my god i have my first birthday pressie. When do birthdays stop getting exciting? I thought turning 23 was a bit poo cos youre getting right into the twenties but now my excitement levels are going through the roof.

Im just that excited now that i have to tell everyone that i have a present ha.
  • Hi, not got a lot to say, other than enjoying reading your posts (I'm sure I'll have something wonderfully inspirational at some point!!).

Started new job today and somehow managed to end up eating a chicken mayo bap - the words just came out of my mouth without even realising it! Also, not good that I've received a 50% off at Pizza Hut voucher today - very very tempting. But I must resist resist resist. ;)

Being "good" whilst at work is super hard... First of all my boss had spare pastries at breakfast so I had a nibble, then got taken for lunch by a client as a thank you for my hard work, plus then my friend brought in Belgian chocolates!

However, I've got a good healthy dinner planned - good old Tesco Diets, I really recommend it - but before that I'm off to Legs Bums & Tums!!!!!!

ooh well done cazzy. Whats wrong with a chicken mayo bap? Its not THAT bad is it?

Yesterday, if this in anyway makes you feel better, had toast, packet of crisps, chocolate bar, mcdonalds meal, salad cart from morrisons, kit kat chunky, coke and there was probably more fat in there somewhere. Oh plus the wine i had the night before, the other mcdonalds i had on saturday plus the chinese im going to have on wednesday, the chips ive had today, the chocolate bar im going to have tonight. Yea im eating well as usual ha.

i find work tricky, i dunno why i need to eat on my 10:15 break everytime!

Hey everyone, welcome Krfc07 :D I'd say cutting your calories in half might be too drastic and that could be why you're finding it tough. A reduction of 10-15% of your maintenance calories should be sufficient to lose weight, and cutting back more won't necessarily mean greater weight loss :)

Mazza stick with it, it's so worth it! The last part when you're getting close to target can be tough as lots of us on here know, especially if you've had good losses each week then it all slows down. This is a good thing though, because once you do get there, all the effort you've put in will help deter you from putting it back on again! :D

Great start to the week here, I was dry slope snowboarding yesterday and did a 'Go Ape' course today which was fab! Pleased to report I've been diet-cokeless for 2 days as well :p
  • Vix - LOVE IT, LOVE IT. Sounds like my usual weekend, except I'd switch the coke for a lovely can of Irn-bru. I can feel my belly rumbling right now thinking about it though and that chocolate trifle in the fridge is calling my name!

On the plus side I've tried sucking my belly in for as long as I can today, a la Rosemary Conley, if I keep doing that maybe I could eventually get rid of the overhang.
  • cazzy - the great thing about posting on here, is it puts it in black and white (or in my case purple:D) which means tomorrow, you wll think twice about having another one.
krf - i though 1000 cals did seem a bit drastic - do be careful of getting into a situation where you feel really deprived after a week or two and have a total blowout.
well done on the coke cold turkey missy:T

Victory - I am sooo imprressed you made it ito the Booth museum. Wow. Tell you kids I'm impressed with them too! And you've proved yet again, it is possible to have some fun with out spend spend spend.

Had a couple of huge steaks for dinner - got to the butchers just before they were closing and they sold them to be for about 1/2 usual price. Delicious. KPC - we had them with 'your' cannelli bean & lemon mash.

Granny - would it console at all if I gave an indication of my OH's inability to throw anything away e.g. 25 years of bank statements... all in their original envelopes which can't be thrown either:confused:. I won't go into his folded plastic bag collection:rotfl:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

  • Hi

I just read an article in Woman's own about some "celebrity" weight loss through a diet called Go Lower? You get deliveries of ready made breakfast, lunch, dinner that are low carb. I think they guarantee you lose a stone or dress size in 28 days. Woman's own advertised that Go Lower are offering 25% off their usual £55 a week price. In fact when you go to the website for Go Lower you find the usual price is actually from £65 a day, not £55 a week - but when you call and mention Woman's Own Sept issue they have said they will have to honour the price Woman's own mention in the article but only til end of september.

I just called up and got it for £165 for 28 days!I'm so excited. No food shopping for a month and I should lose weight too, yay! Thought I'd share the bargain!:j
  • Also in Woman's Own september issue there is a cut out form for Curves Women only gym, and you can take it to your nearest one and get a free 2 week trial membership. So I'm going for both the Go Lower and the free gym!
