Hi guys
I'm back! posted a while back about re-joining you lot and that time has come. Was unwell for a while as it turns out I had underactive thyroid, not on Cambridge anymore cos of illness so will be re-joining SW tomorrow evening. Expect long sad post cos I know I have put on loads.
Well done to all of you who have continued to lose weight and have stuck with the thread, I envy your commitment. Back to work tomorrow after what seemed a very short 6 weeks off, ready for new class and new year with loads of work ahead as I have begun a Masters course and signed up for a 2 year writing course and have been made KS2 maths co-ord.
Thanks for having me back guys0 -

Sary, no, didn't have much time for visiting zoos or a lot of sightseeing, thank god, 4 miles barefoot is nuff for anyone. There's a few more pics on FB, you might recognise more of the place

Where did you live in Belgium? My x was a Limburger. So spent a lot of time there. My dutch still sux tho
Fella in the pic with me is Finnish, I aint even gonna attempt learning any of that! Can say the basic greetings in a lot of languages but that's about it.
Welcome back to all those returning to us. Now I am gonna need to take a leaf out of missy's book to get this final stone off! It won't go!!!!!!4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
well comeback annie - not all of us have been losing loads - treading water more like:o. I hope your medication has been sorted now for the thyroid: I know how long it can take to get right.
Krf - welcome to our lovely forum. Don't have much insight to offer, but please join in: regularly posting here is one way osome of us have remained focussed, or at least trod water til ready to tackle the next 1/2 stone. You did really well to lose so much before and ony put some of it back on.
mazza - great pic, and you look like i imagined, but with even better legs:D.
Victory: delighted you had such a great time here. B in sunshine is hard to beat. Trying to work out where museum 2 and 3 are... though we only had one:rotfl:. Ah, now thinking about it, there's at leave one in the beach arches... Nice gesture of DH to offer to trat you to dinner at J's.
Sary - must be really hard when it's about one of your boys.
We only really have one main issue we exchange words over: OH's intransigence over something that would be so simple to solve and improve our life financially no end raises it head every so often. Neither of us our shouters but as conflict haters it doesn't take much for us both to get upset, and we both go quiet. I then resign myself to the ridiculousness of the situation, and we just go back to pretending it doesn't exist coz he won't budge and I'm not interested in relentlessly banging my head against a wall.:rolleyes:I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

I guess you're right. The trouble is that the little things build up over time. We don't have major disagreements, your issue sounds much more troubling than my moans about, for example, his complete inability to throw anything away. I hope you can soon sort it out.
A clinical psychologist with whom I work tells me that in order to maintain a healthy relationship you have to make 5 positive comments/actions/gestures for every negative one. I'm trying - but it's sooooooo hard!
Missy don't worry I harbour no murderous intent towards the children!
Mazza you have lost an astonishing amount of weight in what seems to be a very short time. Do you know how you've managed to maintain your focus? If so please share!
BB I think treading water is a great metaphor for extended periods of STSing. It's really hard work but you get nowhere. On the other hand you don't drown.0 -
I feel like i have no focus at the moment granny, haven't actually lost any weight for weeks now, been up n down, up n down, starting to get me a wee bit down now tbh. Been pretty good today apart from the White Magnum that i scoffed for dessert
I'm not an icecream person normally, maybe have one a year
so i shouldn't moan about it too much.
I have 16 pounds to lose to be at the max weight for my height. But this final bit has been a nightmare. I don't want to be thin, but I don't want to be as fat as i am either, if that makes sense. Gosh us women are so fussy.
So come on guys, motivate me plzzzzzzzzzzzz! Dunno whether to start calorie counting now, go low carb, go low fat or resort to pills
I actually know the answer, more exercise is needed, just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day
4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Go out for dinner, send the kids to the grandparents, come home and dont turn on the tv. Infact, dont sit on the sofa! get soms cushions and lay on the floor.
Its always a winner.0
