Thanks for the congratulations --- although it's not the actual day until the 8th and I may well have committed OH-slaughter by then. Maybe I do need to get back to school.0

Morning:D thanks for the info bb:Dreally looking forward to the day out, especially seen as we have the company car so the petrol is free and we are taking all the stuff with us so no cheating on the WW plan and that will also be free, we get paid today so it should not be such a strain now for a week or two:rotfl::rotfl:yesterday bought cranberry sauce ready for the xmas turkey:rotfl:every little helps:D
We went to the boot fair yesterday and got some amazing bargain, brand new never worn eldest son clark shoes for school, cost £60 bought for £8:D eldest not impressed with anything from car boot sale as he has his standards:rotfl: but even he could not find fault, lovely pair of shoes. Youngest is deliriously happy with his gold fish even more now the neighbour the very next day after buying them asked us if we knew anyone who wanted a fish:rolleyes: so now we are getting that one also and because it cannot be mixed with the ones we have already we shall have two fish tanks, two varieties of fish, to think last week we had none and this week we can't move for fish in this house:D0 -

Good bargain shopping Victory, as always!
Congrats on your loss Mazza, nice pic (looks familiar, were you in Nuremberg?) My stomach is always the last place to lose weight and the first to put it back on...

Iv never seen this page before but iv been constantly battling with my weight for as long as i can remember. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) so its hard to lose weight. I lost around 3 and a half stones about 2 years ago and since then iv put a stone back on which is not alot but makes me feel all horrible and want to lose it again. Iv been trying for ages and nothing seems to work even cutting my calories in half (Which is what i did before). Im struggling to find meals etc to eat which i enjoy and its becoming harder and harder. However i woke up this morning and im giving myself until Christmas to lose the stone so anyone got any tips? I usually do calorie counting.0

Hi Krfc07 welcome to the group. I've got PCOS too and find the GI diet is good. However I can't shift anything unless I exercise a bit too.
Congrats for the 8th Granny 36yrs is brilliant. ! Ours is on the 2nd (20 years eek!). Doing anything? We are going to see Chicago.
Well Done Mazza and Mirmish on your weight losses!!
Hi Missy, still overcast here in West London too but I'm hoping we can all go out on our bikes later. Six of us going round the park is quite a sight but our friends might come too so that'll be ten of us. Plus my friend and I insist on everyone wearing helmets and we have very similar ones so I'm sure we'll get a few looks.
Have a good day Vic and Vanya!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Yes Missy, that's Nurenberg, actually spent the weekend in Rosstal, which is a bout 8 miles from Nurenberg. Was about 30 of us in total on the fri, which dwindled down to about 20 for the Nurenberg visit. Was some lovely buildings there, and everything was so clean compared to UK.
Unfortunately for me, i didn't realise we were going sight seeing, and my friend asked me to buy him a kilt. So i sacrificed my trainers to make room in the bag for the kilt, and the !!!!!! didn't wear it!!! Could have killed him! So I had the choice of wearing my 5" heels or going barefootI think you can guess what I chose. The shoes only went on the feet when we were entering shops or bars

Mazza I think I've had a coffee and cake (Kaffee und Kuchen) at that little pavement cafe behind you. My husband spent some of his teenage years in Nurenburg, and we went back to visit some old friends of his there, taking a train trip there while we lived in Belgium in the mid-90s. We bought some lovely pictures of Nurenburg and Munich while there that I had at my last house, but the frames got broken in the last house move. Did you visit the Tiergarten zoo? I don't usually like zoos, but it's the nicest one I've ever visited; they had so much space there. You look really good in those shorts though hun, and a loss too, well done!
Granny - I think the time for killing your husband is probably passed, as you could well have done the deed and been back out for good behaviour well before now. However, I do sympathise with you on any frustrations you may currently be feeling re. your OH. My BF and I have had cross words in the past few days, and I've been so fed up about it that I've barely been able to talk to him since. It was over something quite important, but we're both coming at it from opposing points of view, so hard to reconcile differences. I'm usually of the opinion to beg to differ, but it was about one of my sons, so I'm finding it hard to do. When I'm really upset about something I just go very quiet, and find it hard to communicate with the person I'm upset with until my 'mood' has passed, so he's been on the receiving end of just me being quiet, however has tried to keep going over it with me, which I don't want to do, so it's not having a chance to die down. I then try to put it all into perspective and think 'this is silly', etc., as there's far worse going on in the world, but it's hard to hold onto that thought... silly me.
The plus side of me being in a 'mood' is that I tend to keep very busy, clean like a thing possessed, and just get my head down. So, I've cleaned, tidied, polished, chucked stuff out, ironed (urgh!), but that puts me in a worse mood, and generally been a busy bee. I've also read 2 books, so it's not all bad. I just read a really poignant one, that had me crying at several different points, which may have been a bad choice, but it was beautifully written.
Victory - well done on the bargains. The carboots round here are just so poor. Half the time you couldn't give the old stuff away that they try to sell. I've given better to the charity shops, in fact always do.
Missy - I had my auctions finish last night on ebay, and I was selling really good condition boys clothes, etc. but only sold 2 pairs of school trousers, a pair of swim shorts, and 2 empty bottles of Armani perfume (incl. boxes & wrappers). I had practically unworn good quality kids clothes unsold. Strange sometimes what does/doesn't sell. I even considered going and getting all my 'designer' branded stuff out of my cupboards last week just to make some £, but thought I'd give myself till just before Christmas to see if I really need the cash.
Money is tight, to say the least. I had been invited to go to see my family down south today (80 miles away), but couldn't afford the fuel to go, which is a true tign of the times. At least when I was skint years back we could still get in the car and while away the day going out for a jaunt, taking a picnic with us, and enjoying the scenery.
Welcome krfc07 I do calorie counting, but as Tagz said, I find that exercising whenever possible, and doing whatever activity I can helps with the loss.
Mirnish - well done on the weightloss. That's a really good loss. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
The ball was lush! Went clubbing after and guess who was in there? Mark ramperkash (probbo spelt wrong) he was so short! But the absolute poo ball wouldnt give me his autograph because of his broken thumb. He wouldnt play ball at all, even asked for a photo and he said no, so i did the shoot the friends and try and get him in the background. So ive really gone off him (and he stood there all night and didnt do one bit of dancing)
I feel rough as today. Remind me not to drink wine again please!!!!!0
