Many thanks for the welcome Vixarooni and Missy. I'm going to weigh myself in the morning and post it here which I'm not looking forward to, as much as I wouldn't want people knowing my weight, I feel it'll be the inspiration I need to keep going on a weight loss plan.0

weight is just a number cazzy! We all vary. I say this like im trying to lose weight but i just spectate here now! (and thats not from loosing a dramatic weight either, just kinda realised im happy as i am in the end) Oh you need to post (if you want) your weekly weigh ins ina bold colour so that Granny can see it and you to the chart if you want to be on there.
Beanie: Hapy belated birthday from meHow long have you been buddhist for?

oh Beanie - I had it in my head that your birthday was tomorrow!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEANIE!
Sory you feel flat though - that is sad about your friends dog.
Welcome Cazzy, nm123 & rosieposie:T.
Bit tired - lodger had to have paramedics called last night as the poor chap's muscles went into spasm around his broken bones and he was in agony. Really impressed with paramedics. Lots of flashing lights outdsidethe house a an ambulance turned up too. He's ok again now, just waiting at home for an op to mend bones - they just haven't the staff to do it before next week...
Food wise, my appetite is down so managed a couple of days not eating too much or over loading on carbs.
Reading back - hope the assessment with your LO goes well Victory - it must be so hard to be a parent at times, especially when these things aren't clear cut and one size in education does definitely not fit all. Ditto Sary - hope you are able to help your youngest.
Missy - I'm another elderflower fan - especially if weak: very refreshing.
What's everyone doing for the bank hol weekend?
Tomorrow I am helping other lodger sort out her refurbshed scince lab before kids return for new term - poor thing is soooo tired after her OH's bike accident and disturned sleep for last 3 nights.
Sunday is of course a momnetous day for clebration... it's my birthday.
I shall be going for a picnic with OH, then blackberrying then tea and museum in local village. Lovely. Thinkn I may try and buy some steaks from butcher tomorrow for Sunday evening.
Monday, OH is working and I have no plans at the mo.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Well the steroids are finally gone, 2 more days of antihistamines and antibiotics left to go. Been a total pig this week, could perhaps get away with blaming the pills, however it's just that i've been pigging. Got these pills from doc to stop my TOTM so i could enjoy my little jaunt away, they made things MUCH worse, still going 8 days later. Should have insisted on the pill for a couple of months. Left me feeling rather eurgh with all the other crap going on too, i hate comfort food when ure feeling like that. Anyhoo, can only get better towards the end of the week4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Welcome Cazzy. Just join in with the banter, put down how you're feeling, come here to celebrate, or if you need us to commiserate, and we'll support you all the way. You don't have to actually tell us your weight, we just try to let whoever is doing the weekly chart how much we have lost/gained/STS (stay the same). The chart is currently being done by 'Grannynise', and it is posted on Wednesday early evening, so we try to let her know how we've done before then, posting it in big bold letters, so that she can find it easily. Some are brave and tell us how much they weigh, but most of us are chicken! If you check in here regularly you'll see how it all pans out over the week.
Beanie - hope it's not too late, but
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!:bdaycake:
sorry to hear about your friend's doggie, that is a real shame.
Missy - I'm a tea drinker, and drink lots of it. I do like the various Robinson's squash, and I also like a cold glass of milk, but it is generally a nice cup of tea (preferably Yorkshire). I don't drink alcohol most of the time, although I have worked out this week that I've had about 3 glasses of lager this year, but several months apart, so I don't think I'll make a binge drinker at this rate! I don't like fizzy drinks much, as they make me hiccup after each mouthful.
BB - I hope you have a lovely weekend, and thoroughly enjoy your birthday. It sounds like you have a nice day planned for it. I have no plans. I did have an invite to go to see my nephew and great-nephews on Monday, but it's almost a 200 mile round trip, and quite honestly I can't afford the diesel to do it, which is a bit of a sorry state of affairs.
Victory - thanks for the link. I had a look and it was interesting. I did know the majority of it, but it was still good to have a read, and watch some of the videos. Kind of you to think of me. Knowing what I need to do is the easy bit I guess, putting it into practice, and being disciplined is my problem.
Vix - I can just see you in those rollers. I hope you have a fab time at the ball. Re. Marilyn Monroe, I saw an item on TV this year about her being a size 16, and it was a lie! All these years I reconciled myself to being OK with that size, coz Marilyn was. She was actually very slim, but had a very unusual figure, in that she had a large bust, but very narrow back, so about a 30G, her waist was about 24 inches, and her hips were about 34 inches. Some of her clothes were on display this year, and they tried to find a model to wear them, and had a real job trying to find someone who could wear her clothes, and the model they had said that despite being a size 8/10 she found them a bit too tight for her! So, there you have it, she was a skinny cow after all!
Well, I've felt a bit off kilter today, so hope I'm not going down with a cold or something. I'm having real problems sleeping at the mo, and waking up after a couple of hours each night, so that could be part of it. OH is in a bit of a 'dark' place right now, which I suspect is to do with work, but the knock-on effect is with all of us, so that's a tricky one. As it is with everyone, there are a multitude of things going on right now, and sharing a house with 5 other people makes it tricky to have any time, space or respite from 'life'. Not that I'd have it any other way I'm sure. Foodwise it's been so-so, and I really didn't feel like having much for tea, so stuck with some soup, but have felt really quite bleugh this evening, so will try to get an early night and hope that I feel more refreshed tomorrow. Hoping the sun shines for us all this last bank holiday weekend before the Xmas one! Make the most of it.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Happy birthday Beanie --- sorry to hear about your friend's dog but don't let it completely overwhelm your happy day.0
