I like Robinson's "Peach" and "Apple and Pear" no added sugar squashes... YUM. And yes, Elderflower cordial is nice too.

Wish me luck, I'm off for my Friday weigh-in... (having lunch when I get back so I'm starving, but don't want to have lunch weight included!)

The only cold I drink is water, hot it is hot bovril or hot lemon, never drink diet drinks full of nasty things and bloat you out, no nutritional value and have read that they have these chemicals in that can cause cancers:eek: the kids don't have it either they have robinsons no added sugar apple and blackberry or orange or anyone that is in the sale;) I gave up coffee some time ago, never drank tea, the kids like light choc with milk but I don't drink that, OH cold fav is sprite if it is a bbq and the eldest fanta, if it is macdonalds they both have milkshakes, sugar laden that is for sure but we rarely go :D we used to make our own ice poles with various juices and even once with angel delight mousse but now we just buy them from asda, loads of them for £1, those and the jubblies are popular here for thirst not that it is a drink and solero, don't drink alcohol either but at xmas maybe a glass or a celebration but other than that no.

Off to see Final destination at the cinema in 3d, can't wait to be scared out of my wits:rotfl::rotfl:

    Hello,

I am new to this forum stuff, but would really like to join in with everyone on this thread (if you'll have me and I'm not too late!!). I've recently graduated and will be starting a new job on Tuesday in the NHS and feel it is about to get to grips with the weight I piled on during my two pregnancies. I have rather a lot to lose (ideally 2 stone by Christmas and then another 2-3 stone following that ). I've done a variety of diets but I think this time round I will loosely follow the RC diet with her 5% fat rule, but will generally try and up my exercise and cut out all the rubbish and McDonalds (or fatdonalds, as my 3 year-old likes to call it!) that I eat.

Thanks and well done to everyone for their weight loss so far, and good luck for what is to follow.

Oh, and as for thr drinks question - I love Sainsbury's No Added Sugar High Juice - Apple, Cranberry & Cherry flavour. It seems to permanently be on 2 for £2 offer.

BB: Sorry to hear your sad news, big hug from me to you xx

Missy: I worry about you sometimes! You don't drink alcohol or any of the other bad things and the only "bad" thing you do drink are two soft drinks? Surely the ammount of exercise and other healthy eating you do outweighs the negative from some fizzy drinks?

Beanie: Interesting. I don't really know much about you at all do i! I didnt know you were a buddhist. I think i spelt that wrong. I personally don't think he should be let out, the welcome he got made me feel sick actually and i wasnt even born or only a baby when it happened so i don't have the feelings that you get from first hand if you know what i mean. That biggs was the train robber wasnt it? did he kill people? Cant really opinionise on that cos i dont know anything about it actually.

I currently have my hair in curlers, practise for sundays hairdo at the ball. I feel like mariyln monroe or something. She had big hips didnt she? Im so excited about the weekend!

Thank you for the feedback about the drinks :) I like fruit squashes so I will try some of those other flavours.

Vix I can justify a lot of things with my exercise, but I think diet coke is a habit I'd be better off without :). My overall diet is probably not as healthy as you think (although it's a lot better than it used to be). I don't always get my 5-a-day, I do treat myself to sweets, choc or biscuits several times a week, some days my protein intake is lower than it should be and I eat some convenience and processed foods.

Cazzy welcome to the thread and good luck with your weight loss! Hope your job goes well too!

Have a great bank hol weekend everyone :D

Right so I whizzed off to the magic height and weight scales in Boots at lunchtime and I stayed the same (9st 7lbs). Whilst in theory this isn't really an achievement per se, it does mean that the past couple of weeks weigh-ins haven't been flukes and I hope that I've stabalised at that weight.

I am going to get to 9st 6lbs next week. Yes I am.

(although I've got a yummy loaf of banana bread in the oven and my weekend's activities seem to revolve around eating....)
