Thanks everyone - not a down tired, just tired! His friend is coming for the day tomorrow instead which buys me a lot more time, fond of him as I am this is a huge relief and means I can work on my work stuff tonight.
Kitchen is nearly done, and because he is now not staying overnight I only need to do the ground floor. Feel a lot less squashed now IYSWIM. Fair is out of the way so now I can get on with the rest.
Rosepink, you made me smile this morning. Thankyou!

I've been back to bed and slept really heavily. Feeling a bit more normal now! Have got to do some tidying up so that we can pack to go away tomorrow. I really want to come back to a nice house, and it mostly is nice, but just need to do the finishing touches.
Hi Oddjob, nice to see you back
Hex hugs for you and for DH, hope his Dad makes a good recovery
Huston, THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting the link to Torvil and Dean doing the Bolero, I love that so much and have saved it to my favourites. Brilliant piece of music and brilliant dancing by them. I’d never thought of looking for it on youtube but have often wanted to watch it again.
Boddy, hope your back is better soon and glad that your mum is ok
Lil_me I can feel your frustration, what an inconsiderate tutor you have, I would definitely complain she’s not doing a good job at all. How are you supposed to get any help from her if she never turns up and wastes your time like that

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
I swop and change as I like a varied music range but at the moment I clean to either the kings of leon or AC/DC. I have recently tried Queen although I found it not very productive as I was waving my feather duster in the air alot, instead of dusting singing at the top of my voice probably to the distress of my neighbors. On a different music note I have Maurice Ravel 'Bolero' (15+minute version from classic moods cd) and I put that on while doing my bread buns, I seem to time it perfect from start of song to finish, that my buns are on the tray by the end of the peice, my oh laughs at me but I just so love that music, I remember watching the '84 Olympics when Torvill & Dean got gold. A bit of nostalgia for you all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAXTBiKwmgc enjoy.
Thank you for that huston...I havent seen that for years. I wonder how many of us only relate that piece of music to T&D? Looking back at it now, it was a really ambitious choice. I listened to a programme on Radio 4 a few months back about Ravel and his music. Very interesting stuff.0 -
Hi everyone
Weekend list nearly completed. I have totally gutted the livingroom and kitchen, tidied both rooms of doom and did the bathroom. My belly thought my throat had been cut so I had to stop:D
Right nicotine fix then off to do the hall. Oh I bought a couple of bottles of room/linen freshener the other day sprayed twice in my room and twice in the boys room and it's all through the house now, smells lovely too.
Wonderful Weekend ListA chance to get other halves and children involved in the fun of flying!!- [STRIKE]Clean out any pets/wash bedding etc [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Change any person bedding that hasn't been done [/STRIKE]
- Ring someone you love just to tell them so!
- [STRIKE]Clean one room to level three!! [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]S&S the kitchen [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]S&S the bathroom [/STRIKE]
- 100 fling boogie!! everything counts!!
- [STRIKE]Wash uniforms/work stuff whatever you need for Monday [/STRIKE]
- Write a list of new uniform bits the children will need for the next school year and we can have a 'swap shop' on the yahoo & facebook pages! Piper got all hers as Auntie brought her cardies and tank tops over yesterday so she's sorted:D just need to work out what to order from next for the boys and nip over to the schoolwear centre to order DS2's polo and sweatshirt for gym days, will need to do that soon as they embroider them with logos and kids names and they normally take a couple of weeks when it's busy.
- meal plan for the week.. see if you can manage it without going to the shop all week!! well I'm like old mother hubbard so I need to go to the supermarket Oh! how I hate that place!
- [STRIKE]Sort through and tidy someones clothes cupboard [/STRIKE]
- list 5 things to sell not got anything to sell but I have feedback to leave for a seller so I'll do that
- fill a binbag for charity shop that would have been the school stuff but I'll keep that to see if any flyfriends need it (dare I say it's too good for the charity shops round here?????:o)
- HHG (garden) clever girlie did the garden the other day and it doesn't need watering!
- HHSOAADFA
well not sure thats possible in funfair land but I will do my best:p

Hello all
hope you're all doing well.
Got back last night. Was glad we'd left things clean and tidy though it still needs a bit of a dyson round today (dust from living on a main road!). I'm not too well today - seem to have picked up a bit of a tummy bug/eaten something dodgy so am on the sofa now and DH is cleaning out the fridge whilst it's empty! A couple of his friends are coming over tonight, they live up north so I don't want to put them off. Not feeding them though so it should be easy enough. DH's also going to dyson round. WM is on with the second load, was mainly up to date with the laundy whilst away so it's not too bad!
Just going to watch casalty which I recorded whilst away so catch you all later.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
