I make it without the tomatoes - I add stock/water/oil as they cook instead. No idea why, that's just how I've always done it.
Dropped a spike and mallet and a box of books off with my brother and borrowed their vistors' parking permit so I could walk into Winchester rather than paying a fortune for the carpark.
Hair is coloured (she bleached out the old colour in slices, then put a copper colour over the whole lot, so it's very conservative compared to normal!). I tried on LOTS of clothes, and have bought a dress and cardigan from LK Bennett that will do for the wedding if I don't find anything more exciting. I'll need to sort out shoes and a bag nearer the time, although it's only three week  and despite the diet and exercise I've only lost 2 lbs in the last fortnightI had a quick coffee with my brother when I finished shopping, then bumped into his fiancee as I was leaving and she was coming back, so caught up with her... it's strange to think that I may not see her again until the day before the wedding when I deliver the cake!
I've been to the farm shop, caught up on the thread and now have to call one of my team to go through their assessment forms, then I'll go to the supermarket to make sure I have enough food to get through the week (I've run out of chicken stock, so need a chicken to boil... and I need a toothbrush).
And I have to decide whether we want to go shopping in Oxford tomorrow, or Buckingham/Milton Keynes. So if anyone knows what clothes shopping (we're looking for wedding stuff, so preferably independents rather than high-street) is like in any of these places, I'd be interested in your thoughts!0 -
We're back from the great beef hunt and didn't have to go to Devon. We found the farm shop about half an hour up the road did have red stuff in so I bought a job lot. I had the forsight to freeze some cool bag thingies so we bunged the meat in that and went for a long, long walk, with the dog, around the grounds of the old mansion that was near the farm shop.
Had a lovely time! Ice cream at the cafe afterwards and then back home again. I'm cooking one of the small pieces of beef tonight just to see if it is the same stuff. If not, we'll have to go to Devon next weekend.
Am now pooped so am going to sit in the garden with Gordon and have a bit of a read.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
