Evening all
Since my last post I have done some more WM & TD, decluttered ds 1&2 with OH DJing. HRH has fallen asleep so I wrapped her pressies.
Rosepink one of the carebears was mine from when I was little the rest are HRH. I have a bearded collie (same as our dog) and a fluffy peach bear on mine along with the doll my gran got me when I was born. Takes longer to put all the teddies on than it does to make the bed!
Huston-kw Have you read the Book thief by Markus Zukas its so good death tells the story but he is loving death who sees everything in colours, set in the war. Sad but heartwarming story of a little girl who wants to read. Another favourite A prayer for owen meany by John Irvine funny, sad and you'll love Owen by the end of the story he's quite a character.
Right I'm off to bed I'll see you all in the morning.

Have also blitzed my niece's bedroom this evening so should be able to cross most of tomorrows list off as well
Hi everyone, hope you're all well! Big hugs and love to all those who need or want them. Parents have gone out for dinner with my younger brother and his ex/girlfriend (i can never keep up with them) to talk about the baby - i've had enough with all the drama so have 'divorced' all 3 brothers much to the amusement of my dad and the annoyance of my mum.
Have just put my niece to bed after she had a shower and read to me - she's watching her Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds dvd again this evening and singing along very loudly and out of tune, it's putting a big smile on my face.
Have my final exam on Saturday so have to get on with some revising tonight and an early night because i've not managed more then about 3 hours a night for the last week and it's catching up on me

kazm 3 months will soon pass - but I am sure he is gutted about having to be 'supervised' - looks like he will be back next weekish then - shame its going to muck up your plans though (hugs)
PenPen - if you have a minute could you find out 'how many posts does the multi quote button accept'? only if you have time before you go as I dont know where to look - thanks you are a star:A hope DD's last exam went well.
FFP well done aat doing your studying - that will be a nice lot of fruit etc - you have had a busy day getting organised - hope the party and the whole day goes well. Lovely presents too - tie bows on them!
Aunty Crafty hello - how is the assignment going - have you been good and stuck at it today?
feefee you have got the hang of keeping on top of the bathroom so now just apply the same principles to other rooms - little and often works really well.:T
HH62 nice to see you posting honey -and we are always happy to support/ help/ kick/ or whatever is needed - just you ask when you need it.

Hiya Mudders hun - hope the back is beginning to ease for you - cuddles for Stripes - much the same here - need to keep resting I think for a bit longer anyway. psml laughing at the thought of haggis sorting out stripes!!! Good for her - there's still plenty life there yet - is she still on her nice diet? I am shocked/ hurt/ devastated/ gobsmacked (take your pick!) that you think that I, me, moi, could be stroppy!!!!!!!! oh the insult of it! hhmph!!!! oh you cheeky mare- get of your bum and go do something and dont pick on stripes either LOl!
ladyL sorry for not replying yet - the babies are soooooooooooo cute - I love them - no wonder you are enjoying playing with them or having them around to rest with - hope you have been feeling a bit better today.carlsberggal wrote: »Morning ladies, I've been up since 6.10 and have done practically sweet FA! Terminal case of CBA I'm afraid.carlsberggal wrote: »sorry its not terminal its actually a very short term affliction - try again - you cant get out of flying on that one!
Have s/s kitchen, only cos kitchen table was getting on my nerves - why did we buy a glass one? because you wanted to admire DH's ........anatomey from the waist down!well you are newly married!
I'm seriously down today, combination of a few things, slept poorly, elbow still giving me grief and have I have an impending sense of doom - do you know what I mean? yes that could be pigpen's arrival with her inspecting hat on to do you some damage with the feather duster and fluffy mules!
Need a serious kick up the ar£e and a stern talking to
*KICK* and I am now talking sternly to you - No more skiiving - no more CBA - PMA (positive mental attitude in case you wondered!) ONLY allowed for the next 48 hours minimum!!!!
Hope you are all ok today x
carlsberggal - hope the elbow gets a bit easier soon - the pain and lack of sleep is not helping you - do you have access to pain management clinics - through your GP maybe? might be worth asking about. (((hugs))) I have no experience in a relationship like that that I can offer you honey - but I do know that ex-forces find it very hard to let go of connections - as you say sometimes they depend on each other to stay alive and forges very strong bonds. Without being controlling like his ex could you just keep taking an interest about his friends without delving too deep and see if he opens up a bit - would suggesting that the pair of you meet up with any of them and their partners be something worth considering? You would know best about that. sorry I cant be more help but feel free to pm me if you want to rant.
loshypops welcome to the thread and what a great start you have made - I wouldnt normally advise trying to do so much all at once but I can see it would have fallen on deaf ears - you were supercharged! You will soon be all sparkly again and if you keep doing little bits everyday from the lists next week it should become a whole lot easier - will send you a pm shortly.
Mrs beatson - I should have withheld your stars until I asked my question - what happened about the ironing ?? did you do it ......:rotfl:
poorbutrich you too are doing well - as huston said if you havent got 100 things to throw out then its dealt with so delete it - it can be anything -like 100 pieces of paper, grains of spilt rice etc - it has been known for certain flyers to count the hairs they extracted from the plug hole :rotfl::rotfl: and well done for trying to do the right thing by calling the police - it could have been handled better by the operator - maybe she has PMT!
hi everyone....holly.....i did join in ....put washing on emptied and folded td ...emptied and reloaded dw .....chased dog round garden trying to get dh boxer shorts back lol xx
what a lovely vision this creates :rotfl: oh and a GR - one of my fav dogs - they are so cuddly and friendly -nice to have you finally posting.:D you have been working really well today - I hope you are pleased with your achievements.
fedupandskint Wow!!!! you are on a roll today - its lovely to see you bounce back and I am delighted you two have been out - obviously been talking - I really do hope you sort yourselves out. (((hugs))) you have done brilliantly with the decluttering today.:T:T[QUOTE=soappie;22578263]Blimey - I'm shocked. I put some books up on Amazon yesterday (some old text books of DiL's) and one's sold already!
Better go and get it packed...
Brilliant soappie - I find reference/text/study type books are the first to go and yes, often the same day.
awh polly honey are you a full time worrier - I didnt realise that - poor you - well its good news about woof and I am sure her body will give in to the sleep soon - I am glad they got her eared cleaned up. As for DD being in China - will she keep in touch to put your mind at ease a bit?
Siannielaz i think you are very wise choosing something for you that will give you interest and pleaasure. 4000 christmas cards..............:eek: are you selling them? Hope you enjoyed the break at your allotment.
Good to see you have amended your lists and dont go mad with your own list at the weekend - it only gets disappointing when you dont manage to do it all.
Havent long moved in here and i still dont feel like this house is cleaned to a level i feel comfortable in - still feel like im cleaning up after previous owners - i may be paranoid i dont know but i'm gradually relaxing!Does anyone know if the plastic once white alarm box (now yellow from previous smoking tenants) could ever go back to white or am i living in cookoo land?? yuk!
soappie awh bless your Ds - what a lovely man! Glad you are going prepared to find your 'treasure' - and hello to mr Toad of Soappie hall - you will be very happy there -just watch Beffy Boo doesnt want to play !!!

Evening all
Carlsberg/Valli - so sorry to have created Tomato gate, it was just a thought. Not heard about the other trigger foods, I just have heard various bits about tomatoes. I read a book of a friend's once (can't remember the title) which was all about blood groups and foods. Tomatoes were the only food not tolerated by any blood group. This obviously does not mean everybody has a reaction to tomatoes it just stuck in my mind - sorry
Only just back from invigilating/swimming/beavers so need a wee snack. Be back laterThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
All i'll say is STROPPYYYYYYY!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My sister and her friends call themselves the stroppy cows when they get together....I could happily be a stroppy cow!
Now you all think i've gone mad (der) i'm off to bed!
Night all x0 -

still quite a few phone calls - but I made some as well and have my friend E coming by on Sunday after a visit to Lidl's so she will do a top-up shop for me and she will get it right I know.
paid for something over the phone that I ordered ages ago from my stationery shop and they are very kindly going to deliver it tomorrow - the lady there is very nice and knows i havent been well - valli will like it !!! I have treated myself to a new filofax in pink!
The carers were 2 I had already met and another new face and her cousin works in the auction rooms i go to and I know him well. Will get a timetable for next week tomorrow so it will be easier knowing when they are coming - the phillipino young man came at 3.30 this afternoon to make my tea!!!!!!!!!!! needless to say I didnt have it then and it was fortunate that my friend had brought me 3 meals from M&S (3 for £5) and one was for the MW so I used that.

The weather is bound to be good - we have the Jehovah's Witnesses in town this weekend for a convention and it's always sunny when they are about (Rosep
)
Lol, that's cos we are happy sunny people and serve a happy God! Hope the weather is as nice as you predict and that you have a great time with DS and find the beef
ETA: I was just wondering Soappie how you find it living so close to the stadium - noise/difficulties when people are arriving or leaving? Do the people in the town mind the JW's coming for the convention or do they prefer the football fans?toottifrootti wrote: »I have treated myself to a new filofax in pink!
Greenbee glad you had a good time away and did lots of walking. I’ve been trying hard with my walking too
Loshypops I will have a look and order that book from the library
I'm loving this new multiquote thing, it makes life much easier.
I've washed up and given the work top a clean - need to redo the hob tho, DH let the rice boil over tonight and he just sat there until I asked him to turn the saucepan down. Never mind, I was very glad that he did dinner today and it won't take long to clean up

Master bedroom - Done!!!
:D:D
Good day at work, but busy.
Have so far managed to have big rows with both sons (one over work not done, and one over not going to a party held by 18yr old, when doubtful that parents there - and he's just 15.) I'm not bothered, but I'm thinking rather longingly that maybe another glass of wine would go down well - or maybe chocolate!!
I'll use the energy tomorrow cleaning the bathroom!
Hugs all round! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
