Mrs beatson - I should have withheld your stars until I asked my question - what happened about the ironing ?? did you do it ......:rotfl:

actually *looks all chuffed* I managed 20 bits last night and another 7 bits today whilst I cooked the kids tea. :D

I'm off to bed now (9.50pm) DS3 (15 months) has a cold and I think I've caught it and I'm feeling a bit cruddy.

I'm hoping its kids rooms tomorrow on the list cos Ive already done them this week and kept them up straight, so there shouldn't be a lot to do for me, which will be a blessing if I'm feeling rough!!!

    hugs all xx

Sorry havent had time to read/post properly. Saw a job advertised in the free paper that came today, thought I'd give it a go as its at my sons school across the road, same hours so would save 5 hours travelling and £30 petrol per week. £3k less pa but I would get all the hols off (except 2 wks) and OH says go for it so now trying to do an application for which I am totally out of practice. Application has to be in tomorrow

Hope alls ok with everyone but will read properly 2moro

Oh yeas I forgot, 4 lots of washing hung out and then folded dry tonight just before the rain.

    Bin out for binmen.

An executive decision has been made to

    a) do a car boot weather permitting this weekend

    b) do as many dump runs as poss and that includes getting rid of the very rusty bikes that the girls have left outside for months.

ETA: I was just wondering Soappie how you find it living so close to the stadium - noise/difficulties when people are arriving or leaving? Do the people in the town mind the JW's coming for the convention or do they prefer the football fans?

RoseP. JWs vs Football is an interesting question and there are mixed thoughts I'll try explain as best I can.. (and none of this is meant to be a pop at you, your congregation, football fans or anything, it's based on experience with an open mind)

With the football, we have issues with parking and noise and hooliganism. We regularly watch the thin blue line of the law attempt to stop trouble once the game ends. But the whole experience is concentrated within about 3 hours or so of a Saturday afternoon. And by 6pm it's all over until the next home fixture - and that depends on who they are playing.

When the JWs come down, we always have fine weather :D, we don't have hooliganism and we don't particularly have noise. BUT, we have a WHOLE weekend of having nowhere to park (even thought there's supposed to be some sort of park and ride). People have been seen turning up at 8am to park up in my road. This is a problem because not every resident on the street has an off road parking place (I'm fortunate that I do)

We also have lots of people knocking on the door trying to spread the word. Which is OK except when you're in the middle of your Sunday morning fry up!

We also have a park (at the bottom of my garden) full of people (and I'm talking several hundred here) throughout the day which makes walking the dog (and the playing of cricket) difficult. There was an incident last year when a neighbour's young daughter was roller blading through the park as best she could through the crowds and was told by an attendee something along the lines of 'roller blades are the instrument of the devil you will go to hell'. Another attendee immediately apologised to the young lady but it left a mark.

If the attendees could be made to use the park and ride facilities and not park up on local residents streets, they door knocked less and they didn't tell local non-believing children that they would go to hell because they were rollerblading, we would welcome them 100% particulary as they always bring good weather :D

I hope that's Ok for me to say that.....

I have done dinner, I have washed up and I'm ready to fly tomorrow
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
