What book was it? I fancy a good recommendation.

Sorry to be a neb but i must reccommend a book by Cupcake Brown entitled 'cupcake'. I read it on a train journey a while back but it is rather stunning:o

It was called A Hopscotch Summer by Annie Murray. It's about a little girl whos Mum gets very bad post natal depression and the little girl (she's eight) has to look after the whole family. It's set in Birmingham in the 30's and is so well written. It does describe the blackness of depression, which some may find hard to read, but I enjoyed the way the community rallies round to help the little girl. Excellent characters, especially the little girl, she was a real little trooper.

Soappie, you have a lovely son

I've hoovered my keyboard with a little tiny hoover that arrived from ebay for that very purpose. Now the 1 and the o work properly again! What a brilliant device!

Oh, fantastic! I was a bit confused when it ended as it didn't really say what happened to Molly, so I'm really pleased to hear there are more books! I will wait for that with eager anticipation!

Flying...erm, have decluttered half of DH's chocolate orange! And I've put some cardboard out to recycle

Had a bit of an almost sniffy moment this afternoon. Last weekend, DS and I were talking about the beef I used to buy when I was working in Exeter. I stayed away Mon-Fri and on the way home used to stop off at a farm shop and buy the tastiest beef you've ever had (it was from Ruby Red Devon cattle).

I think you might be buying from my cousin :D it's delicious... but a bit of a long way to go just to buy meat. I hope you're going to do something else too...

Course was brilliant. I did LOTS of walking (will up date my signature later). There's no way I'll catch up on the thread, so am just going to deal with the critical bits I need to do for the selection pool assessments that have to be completed tomorrow (including my own :o). I had a good chat with my mentor, and am happier as at least I know that HE understands what I have achieved.

Hope you're all well... I'll be back later!

I know it's a long way to go just to buy beef but the dog will come with us, it'll be quality Mother/Son time (DiL is working) and we'll stop and walk and visit along the way and along the way back. It'll be a nice day out. The weather is bound to be good - we have the Jehovah's Witnesses in town this weekend for a convention and it's always sunny when they are about (Rosep ;))

I have pulled off t'internet a list of shops just in case the one I used to go to doesn't have any left. If necessary, we will do the complete tour of all the farm shops/butchers that do Ruby Red beef and won't come home until we find some!

Glad you had a good course and am glad your Mentor at least understands what you've been doing.
