  • thifty - enjoy your new allotment. We had to give ours up when we moved here and now I'm growing everything in containers. I remember our allotment days with much fondness.
toots - just wanted to add to what everyone else says, in that you really are a star to mention everyone personally. It's a really feel-good thread and a lot of that is because of your input. :T

    Hi all

Just had a long soak in the bath and now I'm off to bed. I've nearly caught up with the thread :T

FFp Hi hun - have you recovered from yesterday? I am doing ok-ish - the neck gets sore on here - its a bad chair and I will be getting a proper one sometime soon - after the lounge is decorated as I have nowhere to put it until then!

Just try to take it easy Toots. I ended up with visitors this afternoon so I had been cleaning all morning and then by the time my visitors left it was past dinner time, the day's just flew in. On a high note managed to get the swings/seesaw up today so HRH is very happy and daddy is taking her to buy a skipping rope and an other board game with her birthday money, not looking forward to the game but if I see the 2 she got yesterday again I may scream very loudly!!

Lady-L Piper says she had great fun at the party and that the cakes she made (dora and disney princess) were lots and lots nicer than the jelly (no pics, bad mum).

Off to read a bit before my eyes close

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Juliejim hows the blood testing going - are you both getting used to it?

It's not Toots - we've tried it for the first time today and it was absolutely horrendous and I've had to abandon it until next weekend. I pricked his finger twice and still couldn't get enough blood out to fill the circle on the paper. DS and DD were both absolutely distraught. We'll try again next weekend but I now need a new card and some more needles as I have to do 5 in one day - if I end up doing 2 pricks for each time I'm going to need loads but even when he was sobbing I still couldn't get enough blood to come out of his finger.
