Oh, yes.
Actually, he's being lovely today - in fact he generally is.Instead of the party he has a friend over. They went out to buy some 'essentials' (crisps, sweets, fizzy drinks - all the things I forget to buy...) and have just phoned to say they've met up with some other friends so can they go watch a DVD there. I'll pick them up later.
And what's all this about teens grunting??? How come I get the ones who never stop talking???
Toots, you're an absolute poppet, thank you for your support and hugs! Yes, I know he should make an effort, but I'm just worried that it's because he can't organise a project, break it down into steps etc. rather than he won't. I know he finds this massively difficult, and I should have spent more time getting details of the project and helping him to do the breakdown. When I've done it before, he has done the work, tried to stick to the deadlines etc.
I don't think that the tape solution will work for DD as although she's very slim, she's very 'curvy' on top! 32DD - very difficult to buy bras, let alone special dress ones - we think it may have to be one of those 'bodies' instead, like a flesh coloured swinsuit.
How are you doing today? I trust that you are being properly cherished by all your carers. Have a big hug back.
hex - not even time to weed, my word, that's serious. Although in my experience, the weeds will still be there when you're ready...
valli - I've been making GOOSEBERRY JAM!!!! Homegrown gooseberries too. Stop wallowing in nostalgia and get that preserving pan out!!!;)
rach - hope you feel better soon. I was asking the other day - when are you going to start your new job??
I've done bits of all sorts today - taxi service, a couple of hours weeding my carrot seedlings on the allotment - a job that really required tweezers, loads of washing, bit of shopping, making jam, cooking meals etc and I've nearly finished the children's rooms as well. Cup of tea and some mindless rubbish on tv now I think! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

beastlets off out with him (to church) in the morning and he's supposed to be bringing them back about 5 for their dinner.. so I can bath them, put them to bed and he can go out... again... he has 'tickets' after all..:rolleyes:
I've said before go see a solicitor, you cannot fix this on your own, you'll be amazed what people do when they think someone 'official' knows whats going on.
And the CSA. Told ya you're being punished for loads of stuff........you know what I'm talking about.
You cannot be reasonable with someone who refuses to be reasonable with you or more importantly the children.
Your decision but sometimes you have to force someones hand. Bottom line is if he doesn't want to do the right thing re the kids, the house/mortgage, etc then he won't unless the forces that be are called into play.
Its not fair, but then life isn't.
I'm not sorry for being blunt, you were funny about going to the docs, suffered loads of pain, for a long time, and then.....you HAD to go to the docs because even you were sinking fast.
Cut out the middle bit, stop suffering and seek some legal advice.

Islands In The Stream is my morning alarm clock tune, love that song, uh huhOH has been really kind today. I thought this morning that my headache was due to over-sleeping last night. As the day got on I start to feel worse and worse, so at 2pm I went to lie down, I didn't get up until 7.35pm. What a surprise I got when I walk downstairs and the children were tucked up in bed (he's read them their stories as well), the dishes done and kitchen S&S, the dining room hovered, the house is spotless! I told him that he's officially a flyboy and yous would all be proud. He is now at asda with his mam (I normally go) as he hates shopping, bless him.
Rosepink, hope you still come on and chat while at your mam and dads having your break. I enjoy reading your posts!
Awww, what a sweet thing to say! I will definately come on, just probably will be less than when I'm at home as I will be doing other stuff than normal. Your OH sounds really sweet, it's nice when they look after stuff while you are ill. Sounds like he did a fab job
We've had such a lovely evening, had our lovely steak dinner and a lovely relax together. It's lovely hearing DH laugh, he's been so busy and tired lately
I'm watching Michael Macintyre, he's so funny! He's so spot on with his observations about everyday life, really really hilarious"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

SS Supergirl - its nice to know that some of your work clients are well mannered - and yes it would be nice to congratulate their parents but unfortunately you cant - but at least they are being sensible because they have brought up properly and are coming for their condoms and advice - I know you will try to keep them all on the right track - as for the teenage girls I find them worse than the boys - they can be really gobby! They think they know everything!
And you are not MEAN - your are a good mummy and are doing what you think is right for your children and what will benefit them later. Its only them and their peer pressure that thinks you and huston are mean mummies:rotfl:
Soappie glad the beef hunt was the shorter version of the trip and you got your walkabout too - itmust have been lovely to have some time with DS especially with them moving out.

if you 'point' at a symbol that you dont know with the cursor and hover over it it will tell you its purpose - that one is to do a 'quick reply' it saves you going all the way to the bottom of the page to do it.Dustykitten wrote: »Do you care what his friends think? Thought not.
He can get a job. My DS trained as a football ref for which he gets paid, he could get a paper round.
No social life is good, he can't afford one without a job and is less likely to get in trouble and will have more time to study.
Don't worry about it being your fault, he's in practise for being a man, he'll make a great husband one day.TOOTS i love my flower xx sorry its had to go! the system still wouldnt let me update with it - so will have to work on my posts under my new ID to be able to do better smilies - but i promise I will do the flower asap for you!

I think what you have done for your friend on behalf of his wife is beautiful - it brought tears to my eyes - what a lovely person you are - she must be watching with so much joy and pride getting such a lovely birthday present from her special friend.
Sorry but I had the giggles imagining you with Bronwyn!!!! poor pooch must have been terrified though - what a shame.
As for the job hunting -I am glad you have got started - its for about september isnt it - good not to leave it any longer - and take your time to get your CV done right - I amsure there are people on here who would be pleased to give it the once over for you? Look at SS supergirl - hadnt worked for 17years and got the first job she went after as it was exactly her! there will be something right for you too. Its only natural to be nervous - having been in a job for that length of time it had become an easy 'habit' but I am sure you will be fine and will enjoy a new challenge - we will all be behind and with you!!! xx
natty - how annoying that you will have to wait another few days - hope they keep their word. I am in awe of you and your gadgets - I have lost touch with a lot of whats available - need to get out more:rotfl::rotfl:

Sounds like you might have a bug honey? hope you feel better in the morning - what a lovely DH you have - I am pleased to hear he took over and did what was necessary - take care.
FFp Hi hun - have you recovered from yesterday? I am doing ok-ish - the neck gets sore on here - its a bad chair and I will be getting a proper one sometime soon - after the lounge is decorated as I have nowhere to put it until then!
Boddy glad Mum is ok - it is great that DD can check up on her like that. - hope you have sorted your outfit and that you have a nice day. Good to see your back is feeling easier - just dont be toooo energetic with the dancing tomorrow;)
lil_me I cant believe the trouble you have had with that tutor all along and they havent done anything - you need to do a very strong complaint letter. What a total waste of your time (((hugs)))

pooh what a lovely post about your sons - i remember last year so its just so nice to hear that they are now charming young men and helping you too.
carlsberggal thats sounds like a nice way to spend a saturday xx
Triker thats brilliant that you are having a big clear out - I hope you make money, get rid of loads of stuff and the weather isnt to bad in any way. I am very impressed that you are going to pass it on to the charity shops on monday, thats the way to do it - dont let it darken your doorstep ever again:T:T
Mudders - oh yes please - I would have her in a second! PSML at the red tell-tale lippy!!:rotfl:
molly welcome to [STRIKE]our mad little community[/STRIKE] the thread - your post sounds a lot like me except I havent the children. I will be keeping an eye on you to see you are not overdoing it!:rotfl::rotfl: will send you a pm shortly which I hope will help a bit.
Indigo vertical blinds - I would take the slats off and wash in the bath with soap powder or washing up liquid. the stains in the grout should come off with neat bleach but failing that you can get 'grout whitener' which will cover it up so you can get your deposit back. good luck with the move.
ladyL - thinking of you honey and hoping you are keeping the chin up - must get into my ebay too - like yesterday!
AnW's Mum - hope the party goes well
natty hello you!!!
froddy well done getting set up and doing your first workout
3tabbycats - well done with doing flying and gardening!
Aunty Crafty oooooh I hate it when that happens - can you do without it until your next triptoochoosey wrote: »Thanks for those words Toots,( At the fete she wanted her face painted and I said no, then her friend was allowed, I still said no and there were no major tantrums so am proud of her and myself) am listening to Kenny singing "she's my lady" and it just fits....DDis my (little) lady!!!!. She went out with DSD at 2 and is now over my mothers and I am missing her!!!!!! Thanks again xx
pigpen its not surprising that you are getting bitter about him and i KNOW you dont mind having the children - but he shouldnt be able to hand them back when he feels like it - they are not library books:mad: well make sure you get out during the day while you can - it will be better than nothing and since you are not at college you can catch up on the house during the week - all you need to have ready is uniforms - can you go out with your sister or Mum - how is Tabitha? Hope he loses his tickets! WISE WORDS FROM TRIKER - you should pay heed - being nice is getting you nowhere honey.
serena I see your dilemma angel -how about teaching him to try and break it down by himself and then getting you to look at it and see if it needs tweaking and then leaving him to do the work. The preparation is the important bit as you know so maybe work on that more when you can and hopefully it will become natural to him to approach projects better. hope I am not coming over too patronising - just trying to give ideas which sometimes we dont see as we are too close. xx
YAY I have caught up ...................:D and just in time for bed...once I have done a couple of pms and the stars!!!
love and hugs
toots xxPeace will be mine

froddington, what are the wii fits like? I go to the gym and do exercise dvds but I tend to get bored really easy. I was thinking of getting one but no one I know has one, not that I know many people tho.
huston - hugs for you and well done to OH
I don't have Wii Fit (not that impressed with it TBH). I bought EA Sports Active for the Wii which I like. It has different workouts and will set them up for you or you can customise the bits you do or don't want to do. It comes with a resistance band and a leg strap thing that you put the nunchuk in so your arm and leg movements can be monitored. Have a look at Amazon, HMV, Play etc for more info.
I have four servings of soup cooling so dad and I will have one each tomorrow and 2 can go in the freezer. Dad was supposed to be away tomorrow but has just phoned to say he is back now. We are sticking to our plan of going out for dinner on Tues so I will pop in to see him and take the soup and his pressie in the morning.
Hope everyone who needs to has remembered it is Fathers' Day tomorrow"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
"I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night" - Bon Jovi0 -
Toots, when we got home I let her have a little of my blusher on and told her they were grown up sparkles so wouldn't shine as much as hers( she wanted glitter and her brushes were minging, so she washed them and had mine instead), and she was quite happy with that!! Thank you for your words of encouragement and support, you are an angel xx0
