  • I have no energy at all, feel like I have been hit by a bus. Going to bed. Ill do a full update tomorrow when my wages go in.

Also I may get paid double pay for working Fri & today because of the bank holiday weekend, will need to see. Knowing my place though its likely.
  • How did you get on with payday? xx
    Paying down the mortgage:
    At 1 October 2011: £226,000
    Currently: £224,499
    Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
    Paid £1,500
    Target remaining: 88.89%
  • Well !

This month I have paid the gas arrears (210), some money to the factors (100) and money to my mum (50).

My wages went through correctly ! They must have listened to my (mums) complaining.

Im a little bit confused about my wages for this week and next week because of the bank holiday weekend. Would just be extra money but thats always welcome.

Also a very nice thing to see is that my bank account balance would be positive if I didnt have to move my other account for the mortgage.

Overdraft will be £750 next week !!!

Hoping to pay off credit card to £160 (I have used it a bit this month because I had direct debits coming out and didnt want to use my bank card), will have to pay about 80 to ge to my £160 target.

By Friday I will have £406 left in my account - 80 for spends on card and £40 payment to reduce it from £200. Then Ill need to buy my bus ticket £15. Also pay for my new outfit £50 (also on credit card), leaves me £261 of savings by Friday (not including any over payments for bank holidays just incase). £30 for the night out and I have £231 left. Im pretty happy with this concidering all the money I have paid out to debt will be over £700 (quick math its probably more!).

I have worked hard and this is my only night out this month. I know some people paying off debt will think its silly to spend on new clothes and a night out but I cant stay in ALL the time.
  • Well done - sounds like you have had a good month and have a good budget for next month!:j
You can't be debt busting all the time...and you are only young once so make sure you get a killer outfit for your night out!

  • I have bought the dress and a few cheap bits of jewellery, I havent bought new shoes. Im just going to wear a pair I already have but I do have to buy a couple of things make up wise.
  • Updated my signature from debt free 2010 to overdraft and credit card free by jan. To be debt free from the windows id have to find 6k next year, thats not going to happen unless I win the lotto (which I dont buy tickets for so very unlikely). Once the overdraft and credit card are gone I can save money up to pay the loan off, I am going to make steps towards finding out about early repayment fees for it as there is nothing in the paper work that I have...

What is silly about the above?? You have prioritised and paid absolutely loads off in the last month, and budgeted sensibly for a new outfit and a night a out - £80 in total is a little treat to keep you on the straight and narrow. :T

  • I know I know, I just feel like I have to justify myself to people because I am in debt. I even text my mum asking if I could spend the money! She said its my money and Im doing well, but still it was just to check lol
  • id say you're a silly billy for being so hard on yourself ;)
