I have cheated a little bit on the whole wages front. I have given all the details to my mum and shes going to try and sort it out for me (while pretending to be me lol)
Done budget for next month already, its looking pretty good. Ill have 300 at the end of this month (I hope) and then by the end of next month still hopefully manage to have that again. The opinion is there to take a mortgage payment break if I do get short of money between switching jobs and the wages and stuff getting sorted so im not worrying.
Not long til payday and I can feel really happy about paying things off again and also having a final tally of what I have paid off. This has been a really productive month for me so I shouldnt be feeling down !
Thank you for the support girls0 -
Wow, the budget sounds great! Did you get yourself a new outfit in the end?
Your mum sounds really nice - mine is shy and the complete opposite - I would have to ring up for her! (not that she isn't lovely of course)Paying down the mortgage:
At 1 October 2011: £226,000
Currently: £224,499
Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
Paid £1,500
Target remaining: 88.89%0 -
I havent yet but my night out isnt until a week on sat so Im good for now, paid fri and mon and fri again ! I think Ill be in a positive balance for at least a minute til the dd start to come out. If I hadnt already paid £360 out already I would def be in a positive balance at the end of the month so thats keeping me positive.
Ye she is great, I dont like moaning or complaining about things. In this case even more so because I know people are funny when they talk about money and the point is I keep getting fobbed off so my mum is going to go straight to the payroll people.0 -
hope she sorts it for you finally!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270

Update on the wages subject, she got further than I did (clearly the fake me is more persistant) and she is to call back again tomorrow with the details of all the hours I have worked since starting this year so they can check the rest of the months. The positive thing is the person she spoke to does think that my manager is in the wrong here and that it will be kept confidential so that I dont get a hard time in work should the manager feel bitter that they are stupidly trying to mess with my (and my mum) lol0

Oooh a hint of good news there then possibly... Go Mum! :j0

Wages sorted, to the point they agreed that they were wrong and that it was probably a mistake on my managers part... ye ok. Stay tuned for next battle as I get paid again on Monday, see what happens with wages then. I really would like for it to be what I expect but it hasnt happened yet so I would be left short (had I not worked so many hours in my other work).
Got another few hours extra at work tomorrow.
£5 from scratch card and £6 from pinecones going into account over this week aswell.
This month has went so quickly ! Have (just) enough in my account to cover my DD's until my pay goes in. Havent bought any new clothes yet, going to wait until my pay goes into my account and Ill do my final money checks because I do want to keep a fair amount for next month.0 -
Well done! Great news on the extra money front. Glad they admitted defeat - well done Mummy Claire!!

:rotfl:At the more persistent alternate you! Has the manager just been covering up the hash he made of the situation all this time? Totally another reason to leave and accept the better paid job.
Managers can be so thoughtless, do they think we work for fun not money? Our big boss was not impressed when there was a complaint from a member of the second (unstaffed) gym, wanted to know why we weren't all visiting regularly. Eerrr maybe because we all work part time for almost the bottom of the entire NHS scale and therefore can't afford to run a car?? :rolleyes:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I havent spoke to the manager about it, I have decided if payroll have a problem with the way he is handling things (which they will now) they can take it up with him. Im waiting until payday to see about the next batch of problems though, its just to be expected and payroll cant tell me how many hours have been put through (helpful!).
On the other job front, havent heard anything yet on a perm contract, I work there all the time though so Ill try to catch the manager for a chat next week. Made an extra bit of money today (wasnt meant to be working but they called me last min yesterday so I took it).
The windows are a no go for me, thatll be getting passed to the fake me aswell. I clearly cant be trusted to fight money battles.
Went shopping today got enough food for at least 8/9 meals, bathroom stuff and a wee bit of chocolate for £20.0
