  • Ok so far I have paid £100 to factors, £50 to my mum, just paid £210 to gas (finally both electric and gas are at £0, now im going to go on the hunt to switch suppliers or at least tarriff but i have no idea about this). Thats alot of money paid out before paydays ! Go me :)
  • Gosh you're doing so well! Can't believe you've got you're overdraft down so quickly well done!!!!
    Debt Free since 2012
    Current Savings £1,400
    Current Mortgage £143,398.27
  • Well done!! Keep on at them about your pay! Unless you can speak directly to finance? They can't shift the goal posts as to how your overtime gets paid!
    Paying down the mortgage:
    At 1 October 2011: £226,000
    Currently: £224,499
    Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
    Paid £1,500
    Target remaining: 88.89%
  • Spoke again to the manager and he babbled rubbish again.

I have no idea what to do now. I worked 98 hours though and i get paid for 87 and i got 1 hour overtime (work that one out!) already, so they owe me 10. I worked 98 the other month aswell and funnily enough i got paid 10 hours overtime. So my new tactic is going to be oh no woe is me do i have to pay 10 hours worth of wages back to them, another way of bringing it up again !

    Hi Claire,

Just had read through your diary and wanted to say well done :T You've really hammered into your debts, it's awesome. Found some good hints and tips for myself on this thread too, so thanks! :) x
  • Claire - you sound hilarious! I can't work out what they are doing either - unless they are taking extra tax and NI from your pay? doesn't explain why you worked 98 hours in two months and are paid differently though....sometimes finance are soooo awkward!
    Anything planned for the weeked?
Its our 6th anniversary on Sunday so we are going out for dinner (not MSE!) and have a friends birthday on Sat night, but am driving so will save on money there!
    xx

Also, if i can get 1 more shift next week i am buying myself a new outfit. I do not care if this is not acceptable MSE practice Mel, i need a new outfit !

I think thats being very good because I will have plenty extra money in my account by the end of the month and yet I am still saying I need 1 more shift to get an outfit.

Of course you are fantastic, and of course you deserve the Chinese and the new outfit!! You have worked loads of overtime so some should be for debts and some for relaxation. :T
