Right then....nice of Mr Block & Mr Quayle to have 15% off if you spend over £50, coz I needed a water butt & a few other bits too. :money:
I've got 250l compost, and some cauliflower, turnip (2 sorts), parsnip, carrot, radish, beetroot, spring onion & radish daikon sprouting seed, all of which can be sown when mrbadexample pulls his finger out (i.e. June).
That should scratch the itch....If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Put a couple of sprouty potatoes from the fridge in and see what happens. Just don't put the spent compost on the garden for fear of blights0

Potatoes? In the fridge?
I did have a couple of sprouty ones (oh, how well you know me!) in the cupboard, but threw them away a week or so ago.
What about sprouty shallots?I've got a bag full of those coz I never got round to pickling them.
What happens if I plant them?

Have you tried it? _pale_
I haven't got a problem with the insects, but I'd draw the line at eating that. I'd rather eat lettuce.:rotfl:

So....filled 5 tubs with compost.
Read instructions on compost that said put a layer of sand in first for drainage.
Remarkably, I had some. :j
Emptied 5 containers, added layer of sand, refilled 5 containers.
Sown carrots, parsnips, spring onions, beetroot & 2 types of turnip.
Well, c'mon then, hurry! If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Can I have a volunteer to massage my back? I'll pay in parsnips, or whatever else grows. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
