Just spoke to someone who told me to send the forms back then give them a call in the next couple of days to confirm how I want to pay. I can use my debit card over the phone if I want.

:jI applied online for a joint account, received welcome pack week commencing 15th June 2009 did not need to provide proof of ID etc. Just had to sign application forms and direct debit forms. The DD was showing in my connected bank account on 22nd June 2009 but when I logged into my IF savings account it stated that initial deposit direct debit will not arrive until the 29th June 2009. Telephoned them today (not 0845) and they said I could move money from my connected bank account today myself on top of the initial deposit but as they are not in the faster payment system it would not arrive until the 30th June 2009 (weekend not included in 3 days processing). I intend moving money on the 29th June 2009 will arrive with them 1st July 2009 as I receive some interest where the money is now.

How is this account funded?
Can it be funded from any account via BACS?
Does the sort code accept Faster Payments?
Can withdrawals be made to any acount or just the linked account?

I tried to log into my account to check status, but have forgotten what exactly the username refers to. Is it the customer number? Plan number? Jar account number? Email address? Or is it a chosen username?

I have already got it wrong with what I would have chosen as a username, and I don't want to mess around and end up having to reactivate my account!

As for the username it is a chosen username.

direct debit I think Dagobert and any account I think.

I dont really like the if system but it doesnt seem very restrictive, takes a while to setup though and wont let me fund online through a debit card just direct debit it seems so you have to wait for that also

My account isn't active yet, but I would have thought you can make payments to and from the account as usual using the given account number and sort code. From what others have said, the account won't accept Faster Payments.

This is ridiculous:mad: All my details were with them on 17th June. The DD was showing in my bank account the next day, and they still haven't taken the initial payment. Thank goodness it was only £1 'cos just as soon as it gets into my account, Im closing it. I'll try the Principality account.
