I Applied for an account yesterday the forms should come sometime this week
This is the first savings account which has not been with my NatWest bank :P

I've just spoken to IF and I'm even more frustrated now. My login details have to be reset, so they have to send me a new code:mad::mad::mad: (how long will that take) and they checked on my DD and it takes 10 working days for the cash to reach my account. That means I can't do anymore till 2nd July! I think I'll stick with my AA savings, not so much interest, but a lot easier to handle!!
Ouch! Hope you get it sorted without too much hassle.Jackjack21 wrote: »I Applied for an account yesterday the forms should come sometime this weekThis is the first savings account which has not been with my NatWest bank :P
My first savings account ever! Just hoping it's straightforward and I don't run into the same problems that other people have had.0 -
Just in case anybody is interested........
I applied to open the Isaver on 18th June, today I received the welcome pack in the post.
Just had to check and sign/date the application form along with the direct debit form and return it to them in the pre paid envelope.
All straight forward, no supporting documentation needed (proof of id or income)
Had to ring them just to check how I had chosen to fund the account with the opening deposit , send a cheque or electronic transfer, which was my fault I could not remember what I had selected on the on-line application.
Instead of the 08456058585 number I called them on 01506817996 and got through OK.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
Now you will have to wait about ten days before your account becomes active.(with a bit of luck!)0

What did they say your method was?0 -

When I phoned them up the lady I spoke to checked on the system and reminded me that I had chosen to fund it via electronic transfer from my connected account when I filled in the on-line application. She also said if I now wanted to change my mind and send a cheque as my opening deposit back with the signed application form that would also be fine. I kept to my initial choice of electronic transfer.
If your unsure, give them a call on 01506817996 and they will advise you accordingly.
Edit: If you do send them a cheque as your opening deposit, make sure its drawn from your connected account.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
Thanks - I'll have to give them a call tomorrow as they are closed now
Is electronically a bank transfer?0 -
tried to deposit some cash last tuesday into IF from bank of scotland and its still not there.
talk about slow or !!!!!!.
have just closed my account - if i put something in and wana take it out thats gona add up to more than 2 weeks or so (have tried this recently).
so imo - if you want instant access - try somewhere else, otherwise if you want to stash the cash and leave it for a rainy day, fine. plus i just wasnt "happy" with their interface and didnt get "that" feeling - the amount of hassle i had to go through to open it in the first place...

Hmm this doesn't sound good... I could really do without waiting 2 weeks for transfers! If other people are experiencing such slow service I reckon I'll think about cancelling my application.0
