    Good as a clean account although important to note that IF is part of the pigdog HBOS/LLOY debacle. Therefore, as a constituent parts of HBOS, if you do bank with the Halifax, B'ham Midshires, The AA or Saga, it will count as one one institution, so multiple accounts with these get just £50,000 cover if things go even worse

    Their application is over the top. They need to know where you are getting the money from what you are going to do and they even need salary details to be confirmed. All in the excause of money laundering. It has become a common term for financial organisations to do anything they want. Very soon blood, urine and DNA.

    It's not QUITE the same as IF:

    2.85% p.a. (variable) - Year 1 includes a bonus rate of 1.20% from the date of account opening
