verynewmoneysaver, how did you get to hear about a clothes swapping party??? Sounds like a great idea, but wouldn't know where to start!
eyeonspain love the holiday outfit thread, you could perhaps start it as your summer wardrobe gets more use than us here in the uk!!
Enjoy your hols bronnie
Lots of love sharron xxxxxSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
Saw it advertised Sharon on Cafe55 which is the chatroom for the local Freecycle group. Great idea I think. I have completely emptied my 2 wardrobes and have the clothes I'm keeping hanging on rails ready for the new wardrobes. Haven't started on my 3 chest of drawers yet though!0

I'm loving my clothes now I have cleared out my wardrobe- so much easier to decide what to wear and feel confident in everything:D and on the plus side my washing and ironing pile has decreased dramatically0

Lola, the same as you i really enjoy my clothes now, everything fits and is well co-ordinated. It's also very tidy due to there being about 70% less in it. I no longer feel the panic of what to wear for what occassion and can honestly say i now enjoy getting dressed on a morning and love going clothes shopping:j My 6 year old daughter is exactly the same, so i look forward to many years of enjoying dressing her and myself
I should also add that i have 3 sons (age 14, 12, 9) who don't care diddly sqaut about what they wear or how they look:rolleyes:
Sharron xxSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
I finally started on this today, bout half way through. I have a bin bag to ditch, a huge pile for the charity shop and a smaller 'i cant bear to chuck you know but if you dont fit in 6 months you're gone' pile
I'm finding it much easier to be ruthless than i have in the past. I've also decided that in the future, quality rather than quantity is definitely the way to go!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Is it reasonable to assume that a top from a shop I haven't been in for at least five years that still has its price tag on is a top I will never wear?0

How much did you make in the end Mel? And how many items did you sell? (I'm so nosy!)
I've 22 items listed on there that will finish this weekend. If they don't go then they will be relisted for another 10 days. After that they're off to the charity shop! my wardrobe sort is coming to an end; two black bags for the dump, one black bag for the charity shop. I can actually close all doors and drawers now too which is an added bonus
now to attack OH's wardrobe; why do i get the feeling sorting his will be so much easier than sorting mineknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
