:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:has it ever been posh?? I've always thought of it as a chav store :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

She also suggested I try a 7.5 as my feet are sweeling and possibly causing my sore toes - they seem to fit well so thats good :D

    Ah, that's reminded me.

In my latest bout of running, I've phased out my old trainers completely and just run in the new ones. Have found, however, that they're making my toes hurt a little after each run (especially the longer ones) - just a little achy in the muscles that bend the toes up and down...

Do we reckon sorbawotsits might improve things a little?

By far the worst thing about being a runner is the occasional need to go in sports stores. *shudder*. Chavtastic.

WHAT you dont use them already :eek::eek:

Shame on you young man :p, get some they are the best investment you'll ever make!! I had full strike last time but am trying double strike this time as they are a bit lighter and its only toes where I need the support really :D

My old ones will then go in my high heels to make them more comfy :D

Shame on you young man :p,

Had some in my old shoes, but seeing as I was going from a £15 pair of trainers to a £100 pair, I figured it was only MSE to try the new ones "as is" before spending more money on them :)

£100 on trainers  dont tell Rich that :p

You always need insoles no matter how expensive the shoes are - the ones that come with are a waste of space sadly - some company should do a tie up with Sorbothanes so they come with trainers :D

They're red. And the guy selling them to me charmed me. He spoke with an accent. I got so confused! :D

Lunchtime run done - 6 miles in 58:30 (9:44/mile). Five seconds faster than the same route last Monday - purely by accident as that was the run that was paced all over the shop due to the stinging ambush. Felt quite steady and was a bit more controlled. Had sun, clouds, and wind, but the rain held off - half wished it hadn't as it would have been nice and refreshing. No longer humid but still quite warm in sheltered areas.

Got my 10k on Wednesday evening next up. Race pack arrived last week but I keep forgetting to mention it. Numbers assigned in finishing time order based on the time put on the entry form apparently. I am just in the last hundred of 550 so we will see...

£100 for trainers  - get last seasons red (or is it blue :p) for a lot less!

You pair of snobs :D I do tend to agree though. There seems to be a particular group of people who treat sports shops as fashion houses. Decked out head to toe in Adidas 3-stripe but wouldn't be able to run for a bus.

I was in Sports Direct on Oxford street and got a lot of bargains for running and football*, but the shopping experience is frankly a baffling ordeal. In stark contrast, Nike Town is very well presented and laid out, but I feel like I'm spending money just walking around there :rotfl:

And £100 for a pair of running shoes? Hope they're good, idio  I can totally see myself being "done" in the same way, though!

    * They're closing down. Take note, London based DFWs
