Congrats on the longest distances ever evab and bank_of_slate :) Tis a good feeling.

Simply - that would be great to know about Lidl as it is a special trip from here which I don't want to make if it is all rubbish.

Fingers crossed on the healing mascott. And good luck for poorbabe getting out there tomorrow.

I did my long run this morning before it got too hot though it was really sunny here from about 6am anyway! 11.3 miles in 1:58:10 (10:27/mile). Quite pleased with that as it is the furthest I have gone in about a month now so getting the distances and time on feet back up there. Another milestone is that this weeks mileage total is the highest I've ever achieved too :D Really felt the last couple of miles in my legs as I was doing it though. Mostly in my upper hamstrings - is that where other people feel it?

Total for this week = 32.35 miles

Full marks for getting out so early krider; your mileage is building up nicely isn't it? There's a Lidl store within walking distance of the office so I'll pop there in my lunch break and report in when I get back. ;)

I'll be joining you nice and early tomorrow poorbabe - I'm going to try for 16 miles and will see how my calf is after Friday's fiasco. I'm so hydrated now that I'll probably be taking loo breaks all the way round. :rotfl:

    Thanks Simply - much appreciated.

My re-hydration was good yesterday and earlier today but it was highjacked by some red wine this evening when I wasn't looking. No idea how that could have happened...

Thanks Simply for the Lidl information. We've got one in town, so I'll pop in and have a look.
Mascott hope your knee heals soon. Good running by all and Good luck to all those going for a long run tomorrow.
Well I hadn't been anywhere near repeating my mile during the heat wave but this evening it was a little cooler with a breeze and I made another serious attempt at it. I had to stop for roads and to pick up money I had dropped but I made a mile. It was hard work but I feel better for it. Going to have another go on Tuesday.

    Afternoon everyone!

UK I bow before your greatness :DKRider yesterday's hydration target was held to ransom by 2/3 of a bottle of Asti in the early evening and a lack of sleep :o The 'early' run became a 'left home at 9.50am' for an 8 mile run instead which I completed in 1:18. Fortunately it wasn't hot like last Sunday so I felt good for the whole run.

I'm off to have some grub, shower, tidyup then a snooze. Anybody available to clean my bike chain? I've suddenly lost the desire to do it today

    Happy Sunday!
