Now that felt good!:D:D
It was probably 15-20 secs/mile quicker than intended but sometimes you just have to go with the flow. This was the hilly 12 miles with the two climbs of 350-400ft so thats a pretty swift pace for a relatively controlled run.
It actually turned out to be a PB for this course, so pleased all round.:D
Also had an email back from Mr parkrun, Paul Sinton-Hewitt, who seems quite interested in challenging the Gt North Series claim to be 'The Biggest Running Programme In The World'. And why not........:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Yep, and after I've done the cabbage patch I've then got the onions to plant and the greenhouse to clear out!:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Just to let Uk and others know - there are two new parkruns coming soon - both north London - if anyone wants to be involved in helping them set up by running some trials pm your email and I'll forward it onto the parkrun peeps

Hey - well done Rich!
I seem to be able to lengthen my runs right now, but don't seem to be getting any faster. Still, pleased I can 'keep going'.0 -

Evening all, I am starting to get nervous about Sunday now  but I am really pleased that I followed the advice from Becky/Rich to run the 8miles so that I know I can do it.
It has felt really strange not spending my week trying to work out how I am going to be fitting runs in with my other commitments - I have missed itI must be hooked!
Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
owwwww Finsbury park I can dig that

Well you know you can run 10K so there are no unknowns as such.
As soon as the race starts its just a case of putting one foot in front of the other just like you have done so many times before.....so nothing to be nervous about!. You'll be fine...:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

1hannah- goodluck for sunday, you have put the training in, so just enjoy it :-)(Family of 5: 2 adults & 3 children aged 7yrs, 4yrs, and 18months)0

Good luck 1hannah.
my runs
Mon 21/9 4.01 Miles 42:38(11:07/mile)
Tues 22/9 4.59 Miles 51:03 (11:02/mile)
Wed 23/9 restday
Thurs 24/9 8.69 Miles 1:34:26 (10:52/mile)
Will be going out for 5ish miles this afternoon. The run I did yesterday I last ran exact same distance and course on july 24th which was 8.69miles 1:50:01 (12:40/mile) so showing improvement now.
Rich those 3 races are all paid for. I noticed the Freckleton one has a 2hr40m cut off not that I will be anywhere near running that slow by then
On paper I am only two seconds faster per mile than i was in april but then I could only just run 3miles and I had to have a restday afterwards
Oh I'm probably doing Heaton Park tomorrow is anyone else? Also I registered a few weeks ago so do I just turn up and run? does everyone start at the same time and how is the timing done? how early should I get there before the start?
Cheers
