The ballot results are in October.

It will be a surprise if more than two get a place tbh.

  • Ive booked accomodation for the London Marathon weekend, came out at £75 a night i think for the Apex City of London, its not far from the London Bridge.

Looking outside of the city, if i was prepared to catch a train from waterloo for 20mins, i could get a travelodge for £19 each night.

Still thinking of cancelling the hotel & going with the cheap travelodge booking, which we cant cancel.

Once them results are given out, hotel rooms will become scarce.

I got a room at travelodge in Southwark last year for £10 on the Sunday night about 2 months before - I didnt use it in the end (it was meant for my friends but they couldnt come and watch) - its pretty easy to get to from the finish and you're on the right side of the river for the start :D

There's also the premier inn at Eccleston Sq (its brand new) think thats £90 a night - but its right by the finish!

Oops - just rated your post as abuse...has the quote button always been where it is now? :o

Anyway, your post's made me think of something I haven't really though of before...If I do get a place for London, I'm going to have to *go to London* aren't I...I can feel my skin crawling just thinking about it :)

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
