That was a bit of hard graft but pleased enough on the back of last night's effort.:D
It was a new mile course so it always takes a little while to get the effort right. It was also nowhere near as flat as I expected.
Why all the talk about weight loss? Forget it, just enjoy the running. Look at it another way - run regularly for 5 years and try to be fat at the end of it. Impossible!
Your body will shape itself to being a runner, but it isnt going to do it in a few weeks, it has to get used to the idea that its going to be a permanent lifestyle before it goes to the effort of re-shaping!
Its nice to see all the regular routines building - Krider, Bj and Evab. Its almost impossible to train regularly and not get fitter and healthier.:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Good work Rich, those times are just amazing to me. After the marathon I'm going to concentrate on improving the times for my shorter runs, I think I can reduce them quite a lot! Well that will be the new goal!
I did get some comments at work about how much weight I've lost so it's definitely paying off, it's certainly taken less time to get baby weight off this time compared to when I had my daughter!0 -
....
12.06m tonight. 1hr 40m... knee was comeing and going... hopefully wont be to stiff in the morning but any chance of running 20m on sunday seems to be out the window. So looks like i will just go for the 13.1 hopefully that will be ok.. even if at a slower pace than a normall 1/2..
Plus what with uni work and trying to rest me knee looks like that will be my weeks work for this week a shocking 17.38m for the week... Meh!!!Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -

Nooooooo, I can't stop - I've got a marathon to train for :rotfl:
You'll have to blame Becky for my mileage because she prepared the training schedule for me :A all I do is roll out of bed and run whatever the schedule says.
I've been a bit tired the last couple of weeks but that's because I'm at the 'peak' mileage weeks - I start to taper after my 20 mile run next Sunday. I'm just hoping that all the training has prepared me for the 26 miles on the day :eek:2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -

wise words unless you actually want to run and would prefer they found out why you have a bad knee! the GP told me the same thing when I had Tendonitis in one knee a couple of years ago.0
