There seemed to be more about cricket than anything at the expo today, there was a Q&A with some of the england team, lots of practice cricket type games and the ashes in a huge glass case guarded by big burly security chaps
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
hi all i thought id let you all know how john got on with his marathon today, he completd it in 5hrs 11mins and 4secs. wich is really good as at the start of the year he couldnt pass his fitness test and hadnt for 3 years, im so proud of him hes done really well. he said he had run the first half but then the heat got to much 38degrees and he started cramping so he finished the best he could.
good luck with our run tomorrow all those doing the grat north run.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
Very well done, JJ!:T:T:T:T
Unless you've experienced it it is difficult to comprehend the enormity of running in a marathon in that sort of temperature.
If you do your next (whoops, that was a bit presumptious:p) one in cool weather you'll find it a breeze.:D
