Hi!
Just thought I would pop by and see if people could give me a bit of advise. I've set myself the challenge of running (albeit maybe jogging!) a half marathon on Feb 21st 2010. Currently I cycle quite a bit -maybe 5 miles per day. Apart from this I don't do a great deal of exercise. I have found some training plans which look quite good but wondered if anyone here had any advise? Also what is the best sort of diet should I be sticking to to make this achievable? Many Thanks.

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
After a bad run, I can thoroughly recommend a large glass of chablis - it's making me feel much better - I love you all! ha ha!0

Ooh, that calls for a glass of chablis Hannah! I hope my race pack arrives soon for Inverness.
By the way, one of our crowd has dropped out for the Baxters Marathon 10K run in Inverness, 2nd Oct, so if anyone fancies running it? You'll have to be called Marina that day though!0 -

Simply - have a glass of wine, I'm on my third, and all gloom of this mornings run has faded - in fact, in theory, from the comfort of the sofa - I reckon I'm running 8 min miles now!
Rich, Becks - cheers - anyone else for chablis. Linda, have a drink hun!
Be careful though, these are the times folk talk you into agreeing to challenges - like 10ks in inverness!0
