Thats 11:54/mile Hannah - that is some going, one of those 'wow' moments perhaps?:D:D

That breaks down into 11:32/mile for the first 5K and 12:16/mile for the return 5K.

It is a great advert for what steady consistency can bring!

KMS - You're nuts!:p 9 miles plus beers is not good marathon prep (having said that, I've been there:o).

UK - Try to do plenty walking before trying to run again and see how the knee responds. No point bashing it more if its still healing.

Sorry not logged on since weekend, and now have to dash and get niece from school before heading off for weekend camping.
19miles (11.34/mile) this morning - longest run for me, and felt pretty good :j

Congratulations tq, that must feel good when you look back at having to stop at 16 on that attempt at 18, you've now sailed past 18 and at roughly the same pace that you had to give up at before.

    Great progress.:D

To be fair, only you can decide that. But again have a look at the parkrun results and you'll get a feel for what is reasonable for different abilities.

For the 5K at Leeds we have the guy who was crowned World Triathlon Champion last weekend running around 15:30ish down to around 50 minutes for the more casual runners....so somewhere in between those times is perfectly reasonable.

was that roundhay park? i was there and if i guessed i'd say i did it in about half an hour

i'm checking out park run now and will report back - cheers for the link

No - thats some other 'paid for' race.

The parkruns are EVERY week at 9am on Saturday. The Leeds event is at Hyde Park.
