Maybe about 20 years ago - these days its little more than a sponsored advert for running gear makers to newbies :rolleyes:0 -

Hi guys.
My name is hypno, and I am a newbie
Well, I might as well be
BUT, today, after over three months of exhaustion and excuses.......and carrying an extra stone in weight.......I came home from work, got my (now tighter than is reasonably comfortable) running gear, and headed out.
No watch, no garmin, no goals, no races in mind, no idea of distance, time, or miles per min.........
.......but I did a good 20 minutes......nice and steady.......
AND I DIDN'T WALK
I have no idea where it will take me......I just need to get back into the enjoyment of it at the moment, get comfortable with it, and have no pressure.

Helloooooooooooo
(we missed you) Well done on the run

I missed you lot too - but I just couldn't do it. I know it sounds a cop out, but I didn't have anything left to give.
But, big kick up the backside, and I am bringing myself out of that lethargy cycle.
I was pleasantly surprised - I thought I would perhaps make the end of the road before walking the rest. Instead, I was able to plod consistently for far longer. I could probably have gone further, but I wanted the confidence element of getting round without stopping, rather than flaking out with half a mile to go.
I don't think I went far or fast enough to ache tomorrow - if I do, then it is a sign of just how bad I have let things get :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
