  • Rich - I've just entered the England Kilomathon on 14th March 2010. Could you add it onto the list of runs? Many Thanks!

I'll probably be doing that as well - I suspect it could be my perfect distance!:D:D

  • Ooh I was looking at that yesterday, it seems like a 'nice' distance to me :)

That's what I thought to be honest, although after 12 miles last night my legs wouldn't have agreed! But as OH quite rightly pointed out my previous best effort was running 6 miles before I stopped whereas last night it was 10.8; and my last PB for 10K was 1hr18, whereas last night I did the same distance in 1hr14, so there's a small improvement! I don't think I have a marathon in me yet, so I thought this would be a nice not too big step towards that end

I wont be as I think it will be too close to marathon...need to think about it...I know the favour of running 20 mile races is dropping but I'd rather do one than a 17 miler I think...hmmm, just need to make sure its a bit further away than a month from the marathon (the 20 miler that is)
  • Rich - you put the 10th March and it's the 14th!! lol!

Ukevas eats 20m for breakfast....:rotfl:.... then sleeps the rest of the day.

looking forward to my experament week after next...

running to canning town . then the tube to the start of the 1/2 then do that...

main purpose of the event is to hopefully make me do an easy 7.3 knowing i've then got to do a half. then when on the half i will try and tell myself to not race people as my edge will have been lost on the warm up.

Thus come marathon day I should take what I have done on this day and not to racing off over the first 5k ..

    He says......:rotfl:

or at very worse another t-shirt for the collection ;).
    Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06m
    Leicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m
    Athens 09 - Marathon - 3hr 51m

    Ah, thanks!

But surely it should be a (half) kilomarathon, just to really confuse the uninitiated?! ;)
