Thanks for all the advice- resting today and will tomorrow then see how I feel friday-will plan route in laps so if pain increases can cut the mileage. I know I shouldn't base decision on marathon but ......... I will be careful!

    Congrats Rich :j:j

Got emailed this today so thought I would share it:
"I like to feel the squish of sand underfoot.
    To feel the dawn wind.
    To hear the birds.
To learn my strengths and weaknesses
    To be out there.
    To switch off.
    To go to another place.
To smell that summer has arrived.
    To clear my mind.
To see the wood for the trees
To stand outside myself for a bit.
To do something simple, dull and repetitive.
    To give problems some perspective.
    To enjoy the freedom.
    To hear the quiet.
To feel tired and worn out.
To beat that part of me that wants to stop.
To feel that feeling I get afterwards.
    Don't call me a runner.

    I just like to run."

Remember your achievements arent worth less than anyone else's - its the effort you make to get there thats important :D
  • It looks like there's a Parkrun wedding happening today (nice weather:rolleyes:).

The founder, Paul Sinton-Hewitt (PB 18:59) is marrying Joanne Turner (PB 22:03).

Another example of it taking a runner to put up with a runner!:p:p

Feeling pretty rough and overworked so am going to duck out of running tonight I think - got a bit of a temperature and a sore chest so would rather rest and let it get better overnight :D

    Happy running all!

    Weds - 9 miles 1:28:31 9:50 mins/mile
