Bloody family, my mum said yesterday 'where are you going to practice' when I told my parents my plans. My brother (who did the run with my other brother and hubbie 3 years ago) said 'I'll believe it when I see you at the start line'. So much for family support, I think I'll stick to my co-runners on here and my hubbie!

Then when you're doing really well, they'll say 'it won't last', or 'she's having a crisis'.

What to do in the morning - bodypump is 9am, but so are the park runs! aarrgghh! This is gonna be a bad dilemma each week now. But I could really do with getting some weight training in. So maybe I have to train and run later in the day.

But I so loved the adrenaline of the park run - being a newbie and all!

BJ why dont you alternate it each week? you can always do a run on your own later in the day on bp weeks.

evab good luck and show them the error of their ways (but do it for yourself mainly)

    morning runners!
just did first park run (wimbledon)
loved it! i can see that being addictive,
the only thing that was a bit of a downer was i was running to get under 25m pace but i reckon my garmin is quite a bit off on its calibration which means i have been slower than i thought all along.
we shall see how i did later.

    anyway i loved it!

Nice one, Mascott...glad you enjoyed it!:D

We'll be doing the Wimbledon parkrun next week, prior to the Wimbledon 5K on the Sunday, so if you fancy doing it again next week we'll see you there.

How did Bob The Dog get on this morning?

Ha ha - not rude at all, it's a weight training class to music!

I guess it can be rude, they make the guys work at the front, and we did get kept back one week and told off for giggling at their nice bums - the teacher said they're really strict on the men and we have to tow the line too!!!! Oops!

Anyway, cycled to the gym, 1 hrs bodypump, with weights, cycled home, porridge and blueberries - will run later.

So, Wimbledon park run looks tempting for next week then?! Where does it start out? Near the Windmill?
