I don't login for 2 days and the thread goes mental! Work being hectic/intense
Anyway, got out for another 6 miles on Thursday lunchtime in 57:49 (9:37 pace). Just a general comfortable run with no pushing the pace. Rain at the start was nice too
Total for the week = 18 miles.
Plan is to do 8-10 early tomorrow morning as we are out for the day, then a longer LSR the weekend after again. Least I won't have any food issues this week
evab - good on you for taking up that challenge :j I prefer my hills slower but involving many peaks in a day but that will be some experience to remember! Families are odd, my Mum was worried about my half at first - though she does now ask about my training runs. Least I didn't get unsupportive comments.
Some good and consistent running going on from what I've just read through - and real progress being made in terms of distance/speed/weekly mileage :beer:0 -
Evab - we know you can do it!!!
My mum kept asking when I was going to give up at first!!! And then when I got ill she tried to blame it all on running *rolls eyes* but anyway she still cried after I did the marathon so I bet yours will be well proud when you cross that finish line0 -

Its been a struggle this week getting the muscle glycogen replenished after taking every last dribble out of the tank on Sunday.
Anyway, tonights run felt very positive so hopefully, with another gentle 10K tomorrow, should be in good shape for Sunday.:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

The thing is, she didn't ask my 2 brothers or my hubbie where they were going to practice, so why is it different for me. Coz I'm a girl! Anyway what a question, we have a huge hill right behind the house so that's were I'll be practising. They know I can run as they've been to my 5kms before, but they obviously don't realise that I've moved on from there - bless.
Anyway enough moaning it just gives me more incentive to do it and do it well.
Well done on your 6miles krider and have a nice one tomorrow.
Good runs again Rich, hope Sunday goes well.0 -
