Wow some good running there Rich :D

Hopefully it will come into race pace just in time to beat Higgins next time we do Wimbledon :p
  • Got out last night and did 6.3 miles in 59.57 mins!!!!

I felt good and decided to try the route out. There is a big jump from 4.5 to 6.3 but it was a great evening for running the only thing was the head wind home bound direct in my face !!

Another thing I found is previous to last nights run I always tried to breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth!! I was reading somewhere yesterday that the proper way to breathe is in & out through your mouth. I tried this last night (took a while to get used to it) but it seamed to work in terms of no stitches and feeling fitter!!

Anyone any thoughts or tips about breathing correctly?

    Good running, EC!!!

In terms of breathing, we've had this discussion in the past I think.

I would say just get fit. Why think about how to breathe? Its akin to thinking about how to digest or how to blink - they are things that you just dont need to do because the body is pretty clever and does all this stuff for you!

If the breathing is a bit ropey at the moment its only because your system is getting used to the new regime - it will sort itself out!:D

Its not that the breathing is ropey its good and I understand what you mean by your body doing this!!

I feel from my perspective that if I concentrate on my breathing I tend to feel & run better!!:j

Excellent new distance last night EC - 10k will be fine now you've done that!

And pink - WOW :T:j That target will be reached in no time! Becky's plan is giving you structure and goals but you have to carry it out and do the exercise/watch the diet/etc. so you should take credit too
