In the outlook settings for incoming mail, just use the BT incoming mail server - (it's something like mail.btinternet.com), and for outgoing use mail.madasafish.com
Otherwise why not set up your own domain via MAAF?
Thanks Quentin. I've taken your previous comments fully on board and now that I have decided to stay with MAAF I will be looking into the domain. No probloems with incoming mail, only outgoing but I will try changing the smtp server to MAAF.
Have asked my 8yr old daughter to think of a domain name (not sure her mum will like her email address though)

Hi Guys,
If you're a Madasafish Customer I would be eternally grateful if you could please take a moment to participate in the Watchdog survey and rate our broadband service.

Hi, do you have a option for more than 100 mb web site and can you opt out of the static IP address ? Thankyou0
-
Hi Pennyforthem,
We currently don't have an offering for web hosting which is greater than 100Mb.
If you've claimed a static IP Address and you want to go back to having a dynamic IP address please PM me your Madasfafish username and I can sort this out for you.
Kind regards,

Hi Samara,
I am very impressed with your customer service although I havent read all 46 pages! I would say on your behalf that Madasafish is a business and although you try hard to keep the customer happy you are never going to have 100% satisfication. I can't believe so many in this forum don't understand business!
On another note entirely, I am currently have broadband with prodigynet and was thinking of moving. I am not in a contract but I guess I will need to strategically give notice in order to avoid daul bills. So when should I ask for my MAC code and when should I sign up with you? How do I ensure I get the MSE reduction? Am i right there will be no transfer fee? At home I have a wireless ADSL router, will I need any new equipment?
Cheers in advance,
Mark0 -
Hi Markintheroost,
Thank you for the compliment!
Okay - I'm not 100% on Prodigynet's cancellation policy so I would strongly encourage you to also call them to check that I'm giving you good advice here!
I'd assume that they would probably appreciate 30 days notice, thus on the date of your next invoice with them get in touch to say that you would like a MAC and that you intend to migrate away prior to your next invoice date. Confirm with them at that time if you will be subject to any other fees or invoices, you don't want to get caught out.
10 days prior to your next invoice with them sign up with us and submit your MAC at that time (A MAC is valid for 30 days). It usually takes us 5 working days to migrate someone into our services, I advise on giving yourself 10 days just in case there is a problem with the MAC. This should allow the services to overlap slightly and minimise being billed for the same time period from two separate providers.
If you enter CHEAPER in the promotion field on the first page of sign ups you'll get £1 off the cost of the subscription for MAX Broadband for the course of a year. There is a referral section in Moneysavingexpert forums and I've seen some really generous offers which beat that deal there. You can also use someone's referral code in place of the code CHEAPER if it gets you a better deal.
There is no transfer fee and provided that your ADSL Router isn't network locked it should work with our services.
Our broadband services are a 12 month contract, however in your position where you're migrating in and providing your own hardware the cancellation fee within this time is only £25 (covers the cost of connection) - thus you're able to try out our services with little fiscal risk.
I hope that is helpful.
Kind regards,

Check out this thread:

MSE people are sharing their MAAF commission so that you get £25 (£10 credit on your MAAF account plus £15 in cash - some offer more) back when you sign up using their referral codes.0 -
Not happy - recieved invoice for March this morning - migrated from MAAF Saturday 24th February to Orange following advise from this forum - gave my notice - migrated away.
So what do I do now?
GraemeGill_Madasafish wrote:Hi Graeme,
Gill here. Samara is away for the week, so I'll be answering any of forum posts till she gets back.
In regards to your question, as long as you migrate away from Madasafish before 1st March you will not be charged for that month as we will no longer be supplying you with broadband.
However, just obtaining a MAC code doesn't mean your contract will be terminated, you need to 'migrate' away from us. To do this, simply contact your new Internet Service Provider, supply them with the MAC and ask them to migrate your broadband service to them. This will typically take 5 working days, but I suggest you inform them as soon as possible to ensure Madasafish will not be providing your broadband in March. If you are still connected to MAAF you will still be billed. So do ensure you migrate to your new ISP before your next invoice is due (March).
I hope this helps0 -
Hopefully Gill will see this and sort them out directly.
You can immediately write and tell them you dispute the invoice, and ask them not to take any payment until the dispute is settled.
If you pay by direct debit, then cancel it before they can take the money.
But if you pay by credit card it is hard to stop them taking the money - unless you "lose" your card today, and get your credit card company to issue you a new one with a new number.0
