hi Gill / Samara,
Probably a silly question but can please answer the following,
1. I am already with a CPS carrier and all my calls go through them via my BT line (without using any prefix and if I want to route my calls via BT, I use 1280). I want to stay with them for the telephone calls. If I just take Madasafish broadband, my telephone calls will still go through the CPS carrier as it is now. Is this right?
2. I have a Cable wireless router. Can I connect it to the Ethernet port of the the Free modem(you supply) and use it for wireless connection to my other PCs?

Hi Thanks,
In response to your queries:

If you keep your line rental with your current provider and take our broadband there is no problem with carrying on with your CPS carrier. Our Talk line rental does not allow access to CPS services, however you can just take broadband independent of our Talk package.
2. I have a Cable wireless router. Can I connect it to the Ethernet port of the the Free modem(you supply) and use it for wireless connection to my other PCs?
I'm a little uncertain what you mean by a cable wireless router... is this one that you used to use with a cable provider like NTL? If this is the case, it probably won't work with our services. We do have a deal on for the Voyager 2091 for £25.00 + £5.99 P&P and this will get you connected with no worries. For routers and wireless adaptors they need to be ADSL Compatible.
I hope that helps!
Kind regards,

Hi Samara,
Hope this is not a silly question, I want to have broadband on a second computer in another room (I'm with MAAF) the computer was with BT broadband and has a router. Is it possible to have two seperate computers/routers running off one phone line/ broadband provider ?0 -
Hi Capvig,
You can certainly have more than one computer in your home connected to the same broadband service. Admittedly having two separate routers to do so is not the ideal method because it will not allow for you use the computers online simultaneously. You'll only be able to have one computer connected via broadband at a time when you've got two separate routers. The router that's not in use will need to be turned off, and if you're going back and forth between the two computers frequently then you may cause a drop in sync with connecting and disconnecting the routers.
I would encourage you to either get a long Ethernet cable and run it from the router that we supplied you to the 2nd computer or to invest in a wireless router and connect the 2nd computer wirelessly. Running a network off of one router is preferable - but it's not impossible to run a network off of two routers.
Kind regards,

My advice to people is to ask and see what you get. If you don't like the sound of what is offered, go elsewhere.
I weighed up cost with customer service and Samara on here too of course.
I would like to say what an excellent service I have had from Madasafish over the past 12 months.
Whilst there were speed issues, these were eventually resolved to my satisfaction thanks to Samara's help, patience and persistence in getting to the bottom of the problem.
The service has been very reliable, which clearly is what a broadband user wants.
I am currently negotiating a new 12 month contract and am hopeful that Samara will come up with something suitably enticing!

I have just spent the past 2 weeks searching out a better deal than the retention deal offered by Samara.
12 months ago I did the same thing when leaving BT and I chose MAAF on that occasion and have been very pleased with the standard of service ever since.
If free Sky BB was available in my area, or I had a Vodafone contract rather than Orange then I would proably have moved due to the substantial savings.
I could have gone for AOL but would be relying on cashback to make the deal cheaper.
Tiscali, Talktalk etc may be cheap but as 12 months ago the horror stories still remain.
So I am happy to remain with MAAF for the next 12 months on a very competitive deal.
Thanks Samara.0 -

Checked the website but could only see something about domain names.
At the moment other members of the household can receive emails in outlook but can't send due to the email address ending btinternet.com
Just trying to get round this problem and thought new madasafish email addresses would be the answer.
The only little niggle I do have is that when I was with BT each member of our household had their own email address ending btinternet.com.
It's a shame we can't do that with MAAF as it would also help to publicise the company.0 -
If you do sign up with Madasafish, be wary of this clause tucked away in the Contract:
10.5 If you terminate this Agreement within the first 24 months after the Commencement Date you will be subject to payment of £80 (including VAT) to cover the fees we have incurred on your behalf for hardware and/or activation of your line;
I assumed there was no contract, then when I shopped around for something with a higher download limit Customer Services highlighted this little beauty. I'm pig sick to say the least.0 -
Hi Kingbuilt,
The Madasafish contract is strictly a 12 month contract.
That actually looks like it might be a clause from IC24 which we merged into Madasafish some months ago. The IC24 brand was completely separate to Madasafish and I believe that when they were offering broadband services it started as an exceptionally low monthly cost for that time (£9.99 a month) and the cancellation cost within the first 24 months was the cost of connection and hardware.
I'm happy to have a look at your account if you'd like, I can probably work with you to sort something out. If you're interested, please PM me your IC24 username.
Kind regards,

You should still be able to use the BT addresses via outlook and MAAF
In the outlook settings for incoming mail, just use the BT incoming mail server - (it's something like mail.btinternet.com), and for outgoing use mail.madasafish.com
Otherwise why not set up your own domain via MAAF?0
