how much do MAAF charge to new customers who are not happy with the service they have received in the relatively short time they have been with you and who wish to cancel their contract of Broadband and Talk service?

    regards

If you put up a strong enough complaint about how bad their service has been they let you go without charge (presumably as a way of dealing with the complaint - as in "does waiving the termination fee solve the complaint?")

According to the contract, you are supposed give them 28 days notice (or pay in lieu), and to pay them the retail cost of any hardware supplied, plus £40.96, being the cost of the connection.

I've been bitterly disappointed with them and cannot bear the thought of them receiving anymore of my money

I'd be quite happy to send the equipment back (part of it doesn't work anyway) - will work on my [carefully worded] letter this week I think.

    Oh I will LOL !!!

On a lighter note, regarding my parents, I have had to wait for the CEO of Brightview to return to work in order to get a response - he is an extremely helpful man but surely it shouldn't really have had to go all the way to the top to get a decent response

I have asked for my case to be dealt with by Head of Customer Services (which they have agreed to) and for them to withhold all charges for my parents account (which they have agreed to also). They are even looking into providing a call diversion to another number as my parents have missed numerous calls from contractors / suppliers trying to organise deliveries etc.

I am awaiting the outcome of a Planning Meeting to see how we can progress this further
  • Hi Jo,

I hope that you received my email from 13:24 today confirming that we will waive the cancellation charges.

    Kind regards,

Yes Samara I have sent you yet another PM... had no end of issues with payments etc. over the past few months with Madasafish... at this rate I will most definitely NOT be renewing my contract with them... :wall:

In respect for Samara's great help to posters here (and for the benefit of anyone looking for a moneysavers way out of MAAF), I think it should be pointed out that to get the type of "service" which ultimately leads to getting all the early termination fees waived you should NEVER get Samara to deal with your problems!!

(As she is one big cut above the rest)

Samara has been an absolute star and has been as helpful as she possibly can, it's just a shame that the rest of the staff at MAAF don't have the same work ethic as she does.

I have had to go to the top level in order to get my problems rectified and I'm lucky that I had Samara to turn to.

I just worry about how many people are out there who don't know where to turn to and who to contact, and they are just accepting the word of the so-called customer care operators because they don't know any different.

My parent's line should be installed on Friday this week !! yippeee

Big thanks to Samara and Douglas Stewart (BT / Brightview) for all their efforts.

Now, where do I send my MAAF router / wireless adaptor back to?

Madasafish? I must have been, to sign up to this service (sorry Samara)
