Hi Guys,
Just a quick note regarding the increased broadband referral credits: the promotion of the increased broadband referral credits to £30 is only scheduled to be live through the end of November 2007. At the start of December 2007 it will revert back £20 for each referral broadband sign up.
Kind regards,
SamaraMadasafish Customer Care0 -
Hello Samara
Thank you for your reply.
The problem here is an intermittent fault. Earlier I got a speed of over 5mb but now I'm down to 76kb with difficulty getting on to pages at all. I daresay if I disconnect remotely by wireless (not touching the router) and get a new ip address the speed might go up again for a bit, as has been happening for the past days. I don't see how this type of problem can be related to my hardware. If that is possible, I'd be happy to have it explained to me.
Edit speed is now good again, hope it will last.0 -
I have been with Madasafish for well over 12 months, must be getting close to 24 months, and in that time I have had serious issues with the speed I was receiving ( which I sorted out in the end myself without having to have a BT engineer come and test my line for £144 or the tech guys going through the same thing time after time!)
I am on a no contract package at the moment and have not had a speed problem till recently around the time I got an e-mail stating they were part of the BT group now! Are we going to get a speed issue during the day as BT customers apparently do? I certainly hope not!
And another thing I was wondering, I have read of BT customers being able to get a free laptop for staying with BT ( I could be wrong of course!) Are Madasafish customers going to be able to get this as well, being as we are now part of the BT group?
And I do appreciate it is not exactly free but should I be in a position to move my phone line to Madasafish as well as the Broadband would an offer be forthcoming?

This is exactly what seems to have happened with me. Consistently good speeds until September now consistently about half what they were before then.
MAAF say their end is ok and BT visited yesterday and stated their line is ok. I will be more than livid if I'm charged for that visit because he said my equipment was fine.
He said my line will not get better than 3.5Mb/s which is absolutely wrong, I was getting 4.3Mb/s until September and had been since signing up with MAAF in April, BT's own speed tester advised my line is ok for 4500kb/s then, now it says 3500?? Someone's definitely moveded the goalposts?
There is obviously something different between my master socket and MAAF which neither BT nor them will admit to. So I'm now in the situation that so many others have experienced with one blaming the other.
After BT's visit yesterday my B/B connection wasn't working nor was the wireless connectivity. Spent over an hour with MAAF support at 4p/min!!! which did not fully resolve the wireless issue - now sorted by a computer literate neighbour this morning!
The better speeds were achieved with all the extension wiring connected too, the lower speeds are connecting directly to the BT test socket?? So it's not the internal wiring.0 -
I have just read on here that Madasafish are now part of the BT group. I have been with Madasafish for over 12 months and haven't had any notification of this. Will it affect the cost or service?
Thanks

We went Broadband about 18 months ago when DH retired. Had huge problems in the beginning but down to BT but did have issues with MAFF call centre and language difficulties. We did MAFF on recommendation.
We are actually a low Broad Band user and I do think now part of BT Group we should get some offers. There are some better deals out there!
Get back to us Samara!

Which has now been adjusted back to 3000, at least better than the 2500 which prevailed for the past weeks! I must therefore assume that was raised to 3500 to coincide with BT's visit to test the line. :mad:0 -
I have had enough with MAAF now, constant dropping out, poor speeds, ringing the THD every other week. I am in dispute over a bill (and every time I ring they claim they have no record of the damned thing). I have had neough, I am getting my MAC tonight and applying elsewhere tomorrow, and I dont care if I have to pay whatevers left on my contract, its not worth it anymore.
edit: though Samara on here has been the only reason I have stayed this long, shes normally great at sorting things out.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -
