Night Shaun, i was talking about both telephone and online as i want it all online now. I also pay directly into account- but have lost passwords for some accounts so have to go through my bank. They now have fast pay system which goes to their bank the same day- which is why i am in a pickle now.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I do my overpayments to Virgin by going on Virgin site and paying by debit card...lol as it's easier for me..I pay the normal by DD though.
I do wish that A+L and all the other banks would lret you pay as much as you want by FP it would be easier...it'll be a laugh seeing if the £1000 is any quicker coming back from Halifax..I called them the other day to ask how much they allow by FP...she said we can't tell you as it's random..what kind of answer is that?

I asked why they couldn't recall my payment and resend it out with correct number- their answer
Because it has already gone-yeah i realise that
them=You will have to ring them to chase it
Me- i did they said i have to go through you
them= oh wait a minute, right you will have to fill in this form and send it to them
Me- could you not do it automatically
them=no we have a protocol to follow
Me-back on phone to company i made payment to
Comp-it is quicker for bank to do it than us as it could take 28 days ( this is after 3 mins of their quick system to get through to right operator who put me on hold for 2 mins)
Me back to bank- we will send you a form out.

Wow...I'm impressed ...it says my bank has accepted it and will be available in two hours.Why can't it work the other way?...lol0

On the Halifax it says before you press submit that they can't retrieve it....or cancel it...
It is annoying when you have to phone the banks to sort stuff out especially on those expensive numbers.0 -

On the Halifax it says before you press submit that they can't retrieve it....or cancel it...
It is annoying when you have to phone the banks to sort stuff out especially on those expensive numbers.
