I can't believe the condemnation on this thread. What evidence do any of you have that OP is lying?
There is no evidence either way, so please post politely and keep an open mind.
If the OP wants advice he'll have to be honest and give us full details, there are things here that just don't ring true.....'there are family issues why his parents his parents refuse to sign a simple declaration' ..... What does that mean ?
If the OP is'nt lying, he is at least being economical with the truth. This is the reason posters are putting in their own ideas of what could be going on.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Why cant people understand and accept the fact of what im saying?
Why are being trying to challenge what i am saying?
The reason to post on here was merely to get some direction and advise - i did not ask anyone to start guessing or making assumptions as to the reasons.,..
i have no reason wotsoever to be lying - especially on a forum - what benefit would i have got to lie on here? I didnt even have to post on here - so i cant see why people think im lying?
I have my reasons as to why i dont want to get my parents invloved - why cant people accept that? I have already said - if i HAVE to involve my parents- then offcourse i will - but i was trying to gain advise from you people incase there was another way round it!0 -
Because there is absolutely no reason which isnt related to fraud that you wouldnt want your parents to confirm you live there0

How do you know? Do you know the OP and his parents? Do you know his circumstances and relationship with his parents?
How do you know his parents aren't a nightmare and won't deliberatly lie to the Jobcentre?
I know if it was me my mother would probably say something along the lines of "you made your bed so lie in it"!0 -
ehh Beccam?
There is no reason the parents would lie if he does live there. Its blatantly obbvious he only lives there when it suits him so the partner can commit fraud.0 -
To the OP, all I can suggest is what others have said, provide as much extra info as possible to prove your address, if you are paying your parents any money for living there then prehaps you can show regular payments to them?0

Why?
The OP has said they had previously split with his girlfriend, I would rather someone worked on their relationship whilst living apart so that hopefully things will work out in the long tern rather than rush back into living together, upsetting a child by moving in and out and possibly put extra stress on an already delicate relationship.
If the relationship with his parents is equally delicate and stressfull then I can see why he would not want them to be involved in his personal affairs, escpecially considering he has said his parents don't like his GF, I wouldn't want my MIL involved in my afffairs either!0 -
Well becam you seem to have hit the nail on the head, "you've made your bed, now lie in it !
That's what this whole thread is about...
....just where is the bed ?Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Sorry this doens't wash, the OP and his GF could face criminal prosecution for benefit fraud. At this point his parents could face a summons to court either by the prosecution or his defence. I am sure they would rather sign a declaration now as to what the situation is.
No matter what problems he has with his family he has to face up to facts and he is going to have to prove his innocence. I have also to stress that for him to be classed as resident he doesn't have to be staying there seven nights a week.
The GF has an interview, my advice would be to tell the truth and they will discuss the situation with her. If she lies they will know, benefit fraud officers have dealt with these sort of cases ever since it became financially better for people to calim as individuals rather than a couple.0
